Fowey is an ancient port with narrow, winding streets which once thrived on imports such as salt and wine from Spain and France, and exports such as tin, cloth and fish. Today it still flourishes, not just because owners of pleasure craft and tourists are drawn by its natural beauty, but also because its sheltered deep-water harbour is used by huge foreign cargo ships that call regularly for a cargo of china clay. In summer visitors can hire sailing or motor boats to explore the creeks up river, and can take boat trips to Polperro and Mevagissey. The area is excellent for walkers, and also within a very short drive are the Heligan Gardens (12 miles) and The Eden Project (6 miles).

Tucked away, yet in the heart of Fowey, this stylish apartment offers private, quality accommodation in a secluded spot just behind the quay. On the second floor of a character conversion with all its windows facing south, the flat is a bright, airy, contemporary space, with a whiff of the sea. It is reached via a hidden alleyway off Fore Street and is therefore just yards from most of Fowey’s excellent pubs, restaurants and shops, yet is private and quiet.

It has a bright open plan living area nearly 22 feet long, with two dormer windows looking across the town. Situated in the small harbour village of Boscastle, this 200 year old cottage is ideally situated for lovers of walking and bird-watching. The rugged coastal footpath with its spectacular views and the beautiful wooded Valency Valley are both close by, and Crackington Haven, a short drive away, is noted for its surf and sand. There are many unspoilt fishing villages to be explored and numerous pubs to be tried. A 16th century Inn is just a few minutes walk from the cottage. Boscastle has the smallest harbour in the South-West. The village, and much of the surrounding cliff land, is owned by the National Trust.

The cottage has been sympathetically furnished and modernised where appropriate to include a wealth of character features including exposed oak beams, deep window seats and a woodburning stove in the lounge. The lounge has comfortable seating, TV, video, DVD and CD players, while the fully-equipped kitchen includes cooker, fridge, freezer, washing machine and microwave. Mousehole is a picturesque conservation village clustered around a harbour and is a maze of granite and slate houses and cottages, narrow winding streets and cobbled alleyways. Within the harbour are two small sandy beaches. Mousehole has several small shops including a newsagents, grocers and post office, as well as a fine selection of craft and gift shops and a small art gallery.

Lantern Cottage is a very pretty granite cottage approximately 30 metres from the beach. The cottage has been fully modernised and equipped, but retains many period features such as beamed ceilings, exposed granite walls and a very small original cast iron fireplace in the main bedroom. The accommodation comprises open plan lounge, dining room, kitchen, shower room and two bedrooms - one with double bed and antique furniture, the other with pine bunk beds. The cottage sleeps two adults and two children plus a cot.

Raydene Cottage is situated in the old village of Egloshayle on the outskirts of Wadebridge, a perfect location for exploring either side of the Camel Estuary, being 15 minutes from Padstow and 10 minutes from Rock. Mousehole is a lovely unspoilt fishing village 2 miles from Penzance and 8 miles from Lands End.

Located in gardens near the harbour, the cottage has been recently completely redecorated, and sleeps up to 4 people, with a double room overlooking the sea, and a bunk room at the back which will sleep 2 children. It has a large lounge/dining room with colour television and video, and a brand new modern tiled bathroom. The modern galley kitchen has a ceramic hob/double oven and a dishwasher and will cater easily for a family. The cottage also benefits from full central heating. Outside is a small garden with wonderful sea views.

Please note that we do not accept pets, and there is no smoking allowed inside the cottage.

Skipper Cottage is within no more than a few minutes walk of all the restaurants, pubs and interesting shops in Padstow, not to mention Rick Stein’s Seafood Restaurant and Cookery School. The start of the Camel Trail and the Coastal Path are all within sight of Skipper Cottage. Padstow is surrounded by wonderful sandy beaches and is an ideal base from which to explore the rest of Cornwall. The Eden Project is just half an hour away, and the many National Trust properties and gardens of Cornwall are all within an hour’s drive.

Skipper Cottage is a first floor flat within a character cottage. Port Isaac is well positioned on the North Cornish coast for some beautiful walking and bird watching. “Wayside” is a large self-catering holiday cottage type bungalow, with full central heating, used regularly by ourselves and visitors throughout the year. Positioned above the harbour at Port Isaac and the beach at Portgaverne, with its own gardens and on-site parking, “Wayside” is ideally situated within easy walking distance of all local amenities and both beaches. The cottage has 2 bedrooms, each with its own wash facilities, at opposite ends of the house ensuring maximum privacy should two couples wish to share the property. The rooms are all on one level inside and outside so there are no steps/stairs. The tranquil plot is large, sunny and provides one of the more sheltered and private gardens in the village, with the house itself sitting well back from the road and pedestrian traffic. There is ample space to store bikes, watersports equipment, wetsuits etc, an outside tap for rinsing outdoor gear and the on site parking is accessed through an 8ft+ access drive. The town of Fowey, immortalised in legend and contemporary books, is largely unspoilt, and retains its charm from ages past. From the wooded slopes of its estuary and its picturesque coves, to secret creeks and busy quayside, it stimulates the imagination in everyone. Around the next bend in the river could be a modern cruise liner on a visit, or a training ship, like a privateer, under sail. The town itself has several good restaurants to cater for all tastes, as well as pubs serving quality meals. There is a variety of shops - two local pottery shops, shops that cater for the artist, a delicatessan, a specialist bread shop, as well as antique shops and two galleries.

This welcoming house has every comfort you could wish for a pleasant holiday. It has a fully equipped kitchen and utility room with washing machine and freezer, together with a drying room with tumble drier at the rear of the house. It is a warm house benefitting from its sunny aspect and gas-fired central heating system. The main sitting room is at the front of the house on the ground floor, and has a large window to enjoy the inspiring view. It is well-furnished with comfortable seating for a tired guest, and a TV and VCR for the odd evening in. Through the hall is the entrance to a small, sunny conservatory with cane chairs, while at the rear of the house is the dining room, furnished in cottage style. Upstairs is the bathroom, with bath, shower, sink and wc. On the first floor at the front is a large twin-bedded room, with built-in wardrobe, TV, VCR and window affording beautiful sweeping view of the river, the historic architecture of Fowey and the surrounding countryside. The China Loft is a two-bedroom, two bathroom flat on the first floor of a converted and rebuilt China clay drying house. This is believed to be the first conversion of its type in Cornwall, and the building, Pochin House, makes a striking landmark on the Eastern outskirts of St Austell at Carclaze, less than two miles from The Eden Project. Although it is virtually brand new, the flat has character, with floor-to-ceiling windows that make the most of wonderful sweeping sea views across St Austell Bay, from the lighthouse on the Gribben Head to Black Head. There is a designated parking space and communal gardens, for which portable garden chairs are provided.

The two bedrooms are carpeted in soft, pale honey beige. The master has a double bed and an en-suite shower room. There is also a separate, family bathroom. The second bedroom has bunk beds, with a four foot wide lower bunk, so that the flat can comfortably sleep three or four people. The through living/dining room/kitchen has an oak style laminate floor with underfloor heating. The kitchen is very well equipped - a range of cream kitchen cupboards conceal a dishwasher, washer/drier, tall fridge/freezer. For cooking, it has a microwave oven, a built in brushed steel double oven and a ceramic hob. A circular table to seat four extends into an oval. Pots, pans, plates and utensils are provided. The living area has a comfy sofa, chairs, and shelving on which are stored the T.V. and DVD. The building faces south - the views are spectacular!

Trevone Bay is in an area of outstanding natural beauty, famous for its dramatic coastline and wonderful sandy beaches. The main sandy bay at Trevone is ideal for sand castle building, surfing and swimming. Safety on the beach is provided by full time life guards during the summer months. Around a small headland is “Rocky” Beach which is perfect for rock pooling and fishing, it also has a wonderful natural swimming pool.

This lovely cottage is perfectly positioned for a wonderful relaxing holiday, just 20 yards from the seafront, with magnificent sea views overlooking the three-mile long Porthleven beach. The open plan lounge/dining area has a beamed ceiling, wood floors, ornate spiral staircase and oil fire (wood burner style), while the galley type kitchen includes all top quality appliances - dishwasher, microwave and washer/dryer. The Main bedroom has a window seat with sea views, traditional wrought iron bed, luxurious fabrics and bed linen, while the Guest bedroom is refreshingly decorated, with twin beds, and again a window seat with sea views. Porthleven is an attractive, unspoilt fishing village in South West Cornwall situated in the middle of Mount’s Bay. To the east lies the Lizard Peninsula and to the west, Land’s End. The harbour forms the centre of the village and is flanked on either side by fishermen’s houses, shops and restaurants. Porthleven has a wealth of coastal paths and country lanes. One mile to the east of the village is the famous Loe Pool, Loe Bar and the beautiful Penrose Woods, all under the auspices of The National Trust. To the west are coastal paths to Bishop’s Rock, Rinsey and Praa Sands. There are two miles of beach and several nearby golf courses, park and sports centers. There are regular bus services to Penzance, Falmouth and Truro.

Port Isaac is a small unspoilt fishing village situated on the rugged north coast of Cornwall and makes the ideal location for holidays throughout the year. As well as outstanding scenery to be enjoyed on the coastal walks there are plenty of activities to experience - pony trekking, surfing, fishing, sailing, golf or just soaking up the atmosphere savouring the locally caught seafood. At Wadebridge you can join the Camel Cycle Trail which takes you to the port of Padstow - the home of Rick Stein and his famous seafood restaurant. On the south coast you can visit The Eden Project and the Gardens of Heligan and many places of historical interest are all within easy reach.

Viddy Cottage is a former coastguard cottage situated in a quiet courtyard with parking outside the property and within a short walking distance of the harbour. The main bedroom has double bed, built-in wardrobes, hand basin and a door leading to the garden and decking area. The second bedroom also has a double bed, together with a hand basin. The bathroom has an electric shower over the bath and a W.C. Downstairs the sitting room has a stone fireplace with multi-fuel stove, TV and video, and a separate well equipped kitchen / diner includes washing machine and microwave. Viddy can accomodate five comfortably with an additional foldaway bed or cot if required. We regret we cannot accept pets and would prefer non-smoking.

This 19th century cottage is situated on the Penwith peninsular close to Cape Cornwall. Backing onto the cricket ground, it is about an 8-minute walk to the town of St. Just, and about 10 minutes to Cape Cornwall Golf and Country Club. Although the cottage is over 200 years old, it has been completely re-furbished to modern standards, while retaining the character of this lovely old granite building. Broadband is also now available. Most rooms have network connections, so bring your lap-top and network cable.

The lounge / dining room, with beamed ceilings and original internal granite walls, is some 21 feet by 16 with a multi-fuel stove in a lovely inglenook fireplace, although the cottage does also have full oil-fired central heating. The large and airy fully fitted kitchen was re-built in 2001 and has all the facilities you would expect, including a dishwasher. There are three bedrooms - one double, one twin and one study cum television room cum bedroom, which in total comfortably sleep 5 people. The shower room has a thermostatic shower as well as lavatory and hand basin, while the bathroom has a lavatory and hand basin along with the bath; there is also a downstairs cloakroom with lavatory and hand basin. Outside, the small front garden is protected from the prevailing winds with a dry-stone wall and hedges, and is a real suntrap. At the back is a raised parking area, and a stone shed. Sorry, but we do not accept children, smokers or pets.

Roscullion Barn is a detached converted barn which has been tastefully furnished and equipped to a high standard. Sleeping 5+cot in two very large bedrooms, there is a large lounge and separate farmhouse kitchen/diner, conservatory, cloakroom and utility, providing extremely spacious accommodation throughout. There is a newly refitted bathroom with power shower, and an additional power shower ensuite to the main bedroom. The barn is equipped with D/washer, M/wave, fridge, freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer, VCR/DVD/Satellite TV.

Surrounded by open farmland, the barn is just 2 miles from the picturesque harbour at Padstow. Just 3 miles away are several sandy bays and the golf course at Trevose. You will also find excellent walking in the area and we are only 30 minutes from the Eden Project.

St Hilary is situated at the heart of the Mounts Bay area at the very foot of Cornwall, 2 miles from the nearest sandy beaches and 3 miles from Marazion with St Michael's Mount. It is a small village with a beautifully decorated church, while shops and pubs serving food are within 3/4 of a mile at Goldsithney. An ideal base for a family or walking holiday, it has easy access to coastal and moorland walks on both the Land's End and the Lizard peninsulas, and St Ives Bay on the north coast as well. A host of local attractions includes The Tate Gallery at St Ives; beautiful houses and gardens at Godolphin House, Trengwainton, Trebah and Glendurgan; birds at Paradise Park; the Seal Sanctuary; Flambards theme park and Goonhilly Earth Station, as well as ancient archeological sites, mining museums etc.

The semi-detached cottage stands at the edge of a small group of cottages next to open fields and woods, with a stunning view towards St Ives from the master bedroom. The Roundhouse (ETC 4 Stars), Beech, Ash, Pond Meadow and Little Leighs (all ETC 3 Stars) are cottages converted from 18th Century farm buildings, standing at the end of a private tree lined drive, in a quiet rural setting. All cottages have small private gardens, and access to grounds of three acres with barbeque areas, children’s playing field and a small copse. Relax and unwind in an olde worlde atmosphere, with beamed ceilings, open log fires for those colder evenings, and an abundance of slate and open stonework, whilst still benefiting from modern facilities, such as colour television, microwave, washing machine etc.

The cottages are an ideal touring base for the north Cornish and Devon coast, famous for its sandy beaches, rock pools, surfing and coastal walks. We are 2 miles from the A39, with Crackington Haven, Bude and Boscastle all nearby. A shop, garage and public house are three miles away, at Wainhouse Corner. Clovelly, the Eden Project, and Padstow are all within a 45-minute drive. Accommodation varies from two to six persons per cottage, with wheelchair access in the Roundhouse. The Scuppers is a 200-year-old traditional fisherman's cottage in the heart of the picturesque village of Port Isaac - just 100 metres from the harbour, with its bobbing boats, lobster pots, fresh fish market and pretty beach of rock pools and sand. Port Isaac nestles between the Camel Estuary and Tintagel on the stunning North Cornwall coast. It is the real location for Port Wen in the popular TV series Doc Martin, starring Martin Clunes. The area offers exhilarating walks along the coastal path, bike rides along the 10 mile Camel Trail, and safe beaches for both swimming and surfing. Many visitor attractions are within easy driving distance, including Tintagel Castle, the Eden Project and the artists' community of St Ives. There is a good selection of local restaurants, pubs and coffee shops in Port Isaac, as well as other local villages.
