Reviews of Rosebank Cottage Cornwall |
"Rosebank is situated on a very quiet lane at the top of old Boscastle. The cottage is very cosy and welcoming, and spotlessly clean. It has everything you need for a very comfortable stay. We could not make use of the garden end of October. It would be ideal for outside dining in the summer as it is not overlooked. Boscastle is very quiet in the winter, but the cottage would be a lovely retreat in the busier months as it is away from the centre of the village. There is a shortish walk to the harbour. The return trip is all uphill, all part of the fun.
Rosebank is an ideal cottage if you want a quiet, cosy retreat. And it is very reasonably priced! " Darryl, Scalford, Leicestershire - Oct 11
"The cottage is set in a perfect location, you can travel to many other parts of Cornwall such as Truro, Padstow and Port Isaac. The harbour of Boscastle is a 10 minute walk and you can reach the Coastal Path within the same time. Visitors tend to go to the harbour and very few visitors come up to the village where the cottage is.
The cottage is very clean and well equipped and very private.
The local pub is a few minutes walk and serves excellent food.
We have stayed here 3 times, Boscastle is a beautiful town and is matched by Rosebank Cottage which completes a wonderful holiday as you relax as soon as you open the door!
" Chez, Farnborough Hampshire - Sep 11
"This was our third stay at Rosebank Cottage which has a number of outstanding features to draw us back. The property provides all that is needed for a family of four to stay and is certainly good value for money. Its age adds to its appeal and to its homely feel. We have always found the property spotlessly clean, comfortable and payment and arrival / departure arrangements work well. Location is perfect due to its close proximity to the picturesque harbour and excellent coastal walks as well as a good "local" just around the corner providing good quality meals (and Rattler on tap). It is an ideal base for exploring Cornwall. We hope to return again next year!!" Mowgly, Ashford, Kent - Aug 11
"Rosebank is warm, cosy, comfortable and full of history. The cottage is ideally situated at the top of the village away from the mass of day visitors in the harbour area, but is only a few minutes walk away. There is also only a short walk to the cliff tops and the coastal path. Rosebank is furnished to a high standard with antiques, which perfectly complement the cottage, and is always immaculately clean. The garden is secluded and a lovely place to sit with a book whilst taking in the views. For peace, quiet and a totally relaxing escape from the real world, Rosebank is perfect." Paula, Manchester - Jul 11
"The name of the street where Rosebank Coattage in Boscastle is located nearly says everything - it is Paradise Road. When I'm in Rosebank I feel that paradise is not so far away. Rosebank Cottage is my best loved holiday spot.
For my holiday expectations Rosebank Cottage is ideal. You can start several walks directly at the doorstep, you can take lazy days in the garden, you are in the centre of an area of outstanding natural beauty, just a few yards away from the rugged and dramatic cliffs of North Cornwall with the most picturesque scenery of the s-shaped harbour.
Rosebank Cottage is an old charming cottage, furnished well in style. Two beautiful bedrooms, a well equipped kitchen, a conservatory as eating room, and the living room with a wood burning stove (not so easy to handle, but when it is burning it makes such a great atmosphere).
Every time (my stay this year was not the first time I stayed in Rosebank cottage) I arrive the cottage is clean, tidy and proper. The helpful hints in the folder on the table are de facto helpful.
In my opinion Rosebank Cottage is the perfect place for a most relaxing, comfortable, joyful and worth-every-penny holiday. I will be back ..." Tino, Germany - Jun 11

Location: Boscastle, Cornwall, England |
The Cornish cottage is ideally situated for lovers of walking
and bird-watching. The rugged coastal footpath with its spectacular
views and the beautiful wooded Valency Valley are both close by.
Crackington Haven, a short drive away, is noted for its surf and
sand.
There are many unspoilt fishing villages to be explored and numerous
pubs to be tried. A 16th century Inn is just a few minutes
walk from the cottage. Boscastle has the smallest harbour
in the South-West. The village, and much of the surrounding
cliff land, is owned by the National Trust.
