It is situated within the protected Pembrokeshire Coast National Park - which consists principally of a strip of land following the Pembrokeshire coastline. There are extensive sea views from the good sized garden laid almost exclusively to lawn, and in particular stunning views of the cliffs around Strumble Head. One mile down a quiet country lane from the cottage and hamlet is the acclaimed village of Trefin, situated on clifftops between the famous harbours of Porthgain and beautiful Abercastle. Trefin has its own cove on the edge of the village at Aberflyn, with numerous rock pools in this small sand and shingle beach which is surrounded on three sides by rugged cliffs. Trefin is quite a bustling village with a post office, pub, an artist's gallery, a more general craft shop, and a couple of tea shops.

Step out from the gate at the bottom of the garden onto the South West Coastal Path which will lead you to nearby secluded sandy coves and swimming points. Approximately a mile away is the village of East Prawle, with two good pubs - one the famous Pig's Nose Inn serving home cooked food and regular live music. The sailing town of Salcombe is two miles by passenger ferry across the Salcombe estuary. Kingsbridge is approximately 9 miles away.
