Fabulous converted cottage with stunning views and relaxing atmosphere.  Sea views and coastal walks.  A famous spot for bird watching.  Swimming nearby.  Adjacent to Coast Path and surrounded by National Trust land.  Four bedrooms, three bathrooms, fully equipped including wood-burning / multi-fuel stove.

The Place The cottage is situated in an outstandingly beautiful position close to, and directly overlooking, the rugged coastline between Prawle Point and Start Point. This is the most southerly tip of Devon . The land between the cottage and the sea is National Trust land and the main features are the wild coastline, the delightful and relatively deserted coves nearby, and the view - which at all times is outstanding. Many ships and yachts can be seen in summer passing this headland, sometimes bound from nearby Salcombe around Prawle Point and Start Point to Dartmouth .

The south Devon coastal path which passes near the cottage provides walking amid superb scenery, in either direction - toward Start Point and  Dartmouth or towards Salcombe. Salcombe and Dartmouth are sailing centres. These are both attractive towns well worth visiting. There is a ferry from nearby East Portlemouth (4 miles) to Salcombe which can provide an interesting excursion. There is a good sandy beach at nearby Maceley Cove. Sea fishermen have only to walk down to the rocks to fish.  
 
The Cottage The attractive, terraced former Coastguard cottage, enjoys stunning sea-views, and features dining room and sitting room on the ground floor with a door opening out to the terrace and garden. Also well equipped kitchen and downstairs toilet. On the first floor there is a double bedroom (5' bed) with sea-views and en-suite bathroom and two further bedrooms sleeping two each. The lovely top attic room sleeps two (with en-suite shower room) and has large velux windows front and rear providing good light and sea views. Duvets and pillows are provided but not sheets, pillow cases, towels or tea-towels.
