For activity holidays the french alps are hard to beat, with a wealth of activities available during the summer season. Obviously popular for walking holidays, mountain biking now also proliferates, with many ski lifts running to reduce the amount of hard work!! The activities are not restricted to land-based pursuits though, as there are many rivers and lakes for watersports such as sailing, rafting, canoeing and kayaking.

Apartment 2 is one of our six luxury apartments set in a spectacular location at the foot of the famous Les Bossons glacier, only 3 minutes drive from the centre of Chamonix. Les Bossons is located directly between the Les Houches and Chamonix ski areas - perfect for those wishing to enjoy peaceful surroundings with easy access to the hustle and bustle of Chamonix.

The chalet has been privately owned for the last 10 years by Richard and Jenny Avent, who live in one of the apartments in order to offer you the best possible personal service. Apartment 2 is a ground floor apartment which was completely renovated to a very high standard in August 2003. It has fantastic views over the Brevent side of the valley through a large picture window, and a patio area to dine outside, if weather permits, enjoying the setting sun. The apartment has an open plan layout with fully equipped kitchen area with essential utensils and cooker with oven, grill and electric hob, living area with twin/double sofa bed, and bathroom with shower and wc.

For larger groups, the studio can be rented together with our 5 other luxury apartments sleeping 4/6 and 6/8 persons. In addition, for those on a tighter budget, we can also offer our simpler 'budget' apartments, sleeping between 4 to 8 people.

Villeneuve is the middle of the three pretty alpine villages which, together with the pretty fortified medieval town of Briancon, make up the resort of Serre Chevalier. Located between two national parks, the Parc des Ecrins and the Queyras, there are endless opportunities for all including walking, climbing, mountain-biking, horse riding, sailing, swimming, etc.  

Our first floor studio apartment is ideally suited for a family of four, or up to four adults. It is located only 100m from the commercial centre of Villeneuve, including shops, bars, restaurants, cinema, swimming pool, etc....and only 300m from the old town with its alpine charm. Les Chalets de Bellevue is a new development in the charming traditional alpine village of Les Houches, which lies at the foot of Mont-Blanc. It is only 5km from Chamonix, and a 1 hour drive from Geneva airport. Chamonix is one of the world capitals for outdoor activities, as well as being an area of outstanding natural beauty. The majestic setting of the Mont Blanc massif offers you an immense diversity of walking routes in a unique setting, and there are a multitude of footpaths and trails departing from Les Houches, as well as mountain bike trails from Les Houches to Chamonix. Canoeing, kayaking, rafting, hydrospeed and canyoning activities are all offered in the Chamonix valley.

The building consists of 19 apartments on 3 levels, and combines modern spacious accommodation within a traditional style building, clad in stone and timber. Our apartment is situated on the corner of the building, providing dual aspect views and light and airy accommodation. The balcony is southeast facing and presents a stunning, uninterrupted view of the Mont-Blanc mountain range. The accommodation comprises one double bedroom, one twin bedroom, one bathroom and a generous sized living/dining area complete with fully equipped kitchenette - including dishwasher. The apartment has been completely furnished by local interior designers to provide extremely comfortable living with a touch of rustic nostalgia.

This comfortable apartment is located in La Daille, with its own South facing private balcony overlooking the mountains & rippling stream. Tennis courts, swimming pool & numerous sports facilities available. Superb countryside for walking, cycling, golf or even sking on the glacier!

This typical old Savoyard farmhouse is situated at a height of 900 metres in the Abondance Valley, a very beautiful pre-Alpine valley, famous for its brown and white breed of cows and cheese of the same name. Thonon les Bains and Evian lie at the bottom end of the valley, on the shores of Lake Geneva. The area provides splendid walking country, as well as having lake and pool swimming nearby, and white water sports on the nearby River Dranse. Excursions can be made to Annecy, Chamonix and Mont Blanc, while Geneva is around an hour away by car.

With its lower part in stone, and upper part in wood, the property has been completely restored and modern amenities installed, whilst keeping its character intact. It is comfortable and spacious, with splendid views across the valley and to the mountains beyond. The large living kitchen on the ground floor is well equipped, and has a French window leading out onto a grassy terrace for outside eating. Also on the ground floor are a single bedroom and shower room with washbasin and wc. On the second floor is a large living room created out of what was once the barn, together with two double bedrooms and a further bathroom with bath, shower, washbasin and wc. “Le Bothy” (and from December 2003 its sister chalet “Les Fraises Sauvages”) is situated 1 km from the attractive village centre of Les Contamines in a quiet hamlet with stunning views of the mountains in all directions. Les Contamines is a totally unspoilt resort offering a multitude of activities, sports and entertainment to suit everyone. Unlimited marked walks for all levels, mountaineering, climbing, swimming, mountain-biking, pony-riding, cable cars, boating lakes, children’s playgrounds and lots more. There are plenty of restaurants and shops.

“Le Bothy” consists of 2 bedrooms on the first floor (one double, one triple), with a well equipped open plan kitchen, living and dining area and a luxurious bathroom downstairs. Outside, there is a south facing wooden deck and garden with swings and playhouse. “Les Fraises Sauvages” is a few hundred yards away and almost identical to “Le Bothy”. The owners (Sarah is English, Bruno French) live close by and are on hand to help you make the most of your holiday with local information and advice.

This beautiful, newly built, 1 bedroom apartment in Monetier-les-Bains, Serre Chevalier, has been built to the highest standard, in traditional wood and stone. Eco-friendly geothermal underfloor heating system from the local thermal springs. Ground-floor location with terrace and small garden with views of the mountains. The lifts reopen in mid-late June for walkers, climbers and mountain bikers, or simply enjoy the wild flowers and mountain animals. It is a short walk to the village centre, with shops and restaurants, and a Museum of religious art. Enjoy a stroll along the river to Villeneuve or Le Casset, or hire a bike for a more exhilerating trip. The town of Briancon with its Napoleonic history is only 20 minutes by car.

Adventure Park, Olympic leisure centre, fishing, para gliding, river rafting, language courses. For kids, a huge range of activities for all ages including care at a crèche.

These two lovely apartments are in a small well maintained chalet, in a traditional village setting with magnificent mountain views. Proudly maintained by the private owners, each sleeps up to 6 in three bedrooms. Apartment Les Marmottes is situated in the heart of the Trois Vallees in the village of Les Allues near Meribel. Some of the most beautiful walks in the area start at the chalet door, and Meribel and the surrounding area offer a huge variety of outdoor activities, including walking and hiking, mountain biking, parapente, river rafting, rock climbing, abseiling, canyoning, canoeing and kayaking, horseriding and many more. Sailing is available on Lake Annecy a short drive away. The weather is sunny and warm from May to late September with maximum temperatures in July and August around 25c.

Les Marmottes is a privately owned apartment on two floors, in a small, recently built chalet of nine apartments. It has beautiful, uninterrupted mountain views, and is particularly spacious, sleeping 6 adults comfortably. The accommodation comprises open plan living / dining area with comfortable seating, TV, CD, books and games, pine dining table for six, and doors leading out onto the balcony. The kitchen area is fully equipped, including dishwasher, washer / dryer and microwave. There is one double bedroom, one bedroom which can have either twin beds or a large double and a separate sleeping area with a single bed. There is also a sofabed in the living room.

Chalet Sol Re, once a traditional farmhouse has been painstakingly renovated into a beautiful unique chalet with lots of character. The chalet is in an idyllic location, situated in a tiny picturesque hamlet called Essert La Pierre, 4km from the centre of Morzine. The hamlet sits up high on the north side of the valley which means we enjoy the sun all day long as well as fantastic views down the valley.

In the summer we offer self-catered stays in either the apartment sleeping up to 6 or one of our 4 studios that all sleep 4-5. For those who are travelling around France or just fancy a short break in the Alps you can stay for 3 or 4 nights, on a bed and breakfast basis. Both the studios and apartment provide bright, spacious accommodation, and each has French doors leading to south-facing balconies with table, chairs and wonderful views. Guests are also welcome to relax and soak up the sun in our lovely garden that has a BBQ, swings, boules area, table tennis table and trout pond.

Morzine is just what you imagine a picturesque Alpine town to be. The buildings are true to the chalet style and built with local stone and timber. With stunning mountains on either side and the river Dranse running through it you can understand why we and so many others live here all year round. Morzine is an excellent base for mountain biking and family activity holidays. The snow recedes to all but the highest peaks and the pistes turn into lush green meadows or in the case of Pleney an 18 hole golf course with stunning views. The lakes melt and the aqua marine water is inviting for a dip, but be warned, it is still quite chilly! There is a good selection of sports and gifts shops, creperies, patisseries and restaurants as well as the local weekly market. The town also has an Olympic size outdoor pool with children's pool and waterside, toddlers water park, as well as 12 tennis courts, (2 are clay and 10 are all weather courts).

Brand new for 2007/2008, this delightful apartment is just a short walk from the centre of the traditional Savoyard village of Sainte Foy Tarentaise - with several good restaurants, bar, shops and post office. Unlike custom built ski resorts, the village really comes alive in summer, with occasional bands playing in the village bar, and various fetes and festivals during the summer months. The chalet is off the main Samoëns valley road, in the wide Giffre valley, with a fully fitted kitchen, living room with open fireplace, south facing balcony,dining room, 4 double bedrooms sleeping a maximum of 8 plus child in a cot, and 2 bathrooms. 80 metres from the Chalet is a Bakery open early for croissants and baguettes, coffee milk, tea, wine and beer.

The unspoilt Alpine village of Morillon is a 10 minute walk, with shops and restaurants. There is a swimming lake, beach, adventure climbing area (Zip wire), tennis, horse riding, rafting, mini golf and restaurant and café at the local leisure park just 300 metres from the chalet. There is a superb complex of swimming pools in Samoens. You can learn to paraglide in one of two schools locally. There are 900km of marked walking trails and 600km of mountain bike trails in the Giffre valley.

There are golf courses at Annecy, Les Gets, Flaine, and the championship course at Evian all just a short drive away. There are chateaux, old towns and lakes particularly Lake Annecy just to wander around on a lazy summer day. The climate averages 25 centigrade in the summer, with 10 to 11 cm of rain per month.

Morillon has a blue lake with several activities around it like the adventure park (high rope tree activity for all ages) and Pony Riding, Swimming, Tennis, Trampolining and a flat cycle track linked to Samoëns, suitable for all ages. Some ski lifts are open in Summer for access to the mountain for walking, mountain biking, rock climbing, paragliding and roller boarding.

Both chalets, Le Cochon Noir and Les Trolls, are new, detached, traditionally built from pine and similar in layout. They are 4 bedroom chalets with 2 bathrooms in a group of 6 chalets situated part way up the mountain at Morillon with stunning 180° views of the Giffre valley. The four bedrooms are all twin bedded, and the beds can be pushed together to make doubles. Cotton sheets, pillows, duvets and towels are provided. The kitchen has oak fitted cupboards, fitted hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, a large fridge freezer and leads off the living room for sociable cooking. The living room is open plan and has a dining area and comfortable sofas to relax around after an active day. This typical old Alpine chalet/farmhouse, dating from 1847, has been beautifully restored to include modern amenities, whilst keeping its original character intact. It is situated at a height of 800 metres in a tranquil and charming Alpine hamlet midway between Morzine and Thonon-les-Bains. The house is spacious, comfortable and airy, with panoramic views from its windows to Mount Hermone and as far as the Swiss Jura.

The living area is on three floors - the most important room being the large lounge/kitchen on the second floor created out of what was once the barn. The original beams are still in place, together with pine-parquet flooring, wooden ceilings and white walls. The room is heated by a cosy wood-burning stove around which easy chairs nestle. The kitchen and eating facilities are conveniently grouped in one corner of the room, and a French window opens onto a balcony-terrace for meals outside and sunbathing. Each contains spectacular mountain scenery and trails for walking. A variant of the hikers footpath GR5, 'Balcony of Leman', passes through the hamlet itself. There are swimming pools at Morzine, Chatel, Thonon and Evian, and it is also possible to swim from numerous beaches on Lake Geneva. Lake Montriond provides safe swimming for young children and there is a lake with excellent swimming at Le Beunaz near Bernex. White water sports, rafting and canoeing are available on the river Dranse.

A traditional Savoyard chalet for self catered rental for up to 10 people. Situated near Morzine in the French Alps, this charming Savoyard chalet was originally built as a small hotel. We have carried out an extensive programme of refurbishment which has retained all the charm and atmosphere of the chalet, whilst creating three spacious en suite rooms, there is a fourth room which can be used in conjunction with the room next door to provide a family suite for up to five people. Because the chalet is an old building, the rooms are larger than average. The newly refurbished bedrooms feature spacious shower rooms with WC or bathrooms with shower and WC.

In summer, this is a great area for mountain biking or mountain walking. With a summer climate to rival that of the Mediterranean, the mountains are a wonderful holiday destination. There is a supermarket 6km away from the chalet and banking facilities in the village of St. Jean D'Aulps, which boasts the finest restaurant in the valley! The charming and unspoilt village of Le Biot, which is within walking distance of the chalet, has a restaurant/bar, bakery, post office and tennis courts.
