This superb property is surrounded by beautiful open countryside in this historic part of the Perigord Vert, with many interesting places to visit, and an abundance of wildlife. Brantome, the Venice of Perigord, with its famous Abbey, and the Roman City of Perigueux are within easy reach, as are the vineyards of Bordeaux, Bergerac and Cognac. Accessible sporting activities include golf, tennis and riding. The well-insulated stone building is detached from the main house, and has exclusive use of a new secure heated swimming pool, with pool house. The house has been lovingly restored to an exceptional standard, and has plenty of outside space including areas for sitting, eating, parking and the swimming pool. The living area is open plan and includes sofas and chairs, a cloakroom and a fully equipped, well fitted kitchen which includes washing machine and dishwasher. French windows provide access to a private terrace. The property has under-floor heating which is ideal for those who plan winter breaks! There are two bedrooms arranged as one twin room and one double. Both bedrooms are en-suite, one with a walk-in shower. There are also two large bedrooms with bathrooms available in the main house which could be used to increase the number of people renting La Chartreuse.

CHAUFFOUR GITES, Allemans, Riberac, Dordogne, France
Four beautiful self catering cottages located in the Dordogne countryside in south west France, set in large, mature gardens complete with swimming pool. Sleep 4, 6, 7, 12.
Chauffour gites are in a peaceful hamlet and surrounded by sunflower fields and vineyards. Just a few minutes away are the villages of Allemans and St. Severin where you can find bakeries, banks, post office and a supermarket. The bustling market town of Riberac, famed for its huge Friday market, is just 10 minutes away. We're 1 hour from Angouleme and Bergerac, 1.5 hours from Bordeaux, 2 hours from Limoges. The new airport at Brive, due to open shortly, is also within easy reach. Ryanair, Easyjet and Flybe all offer low cost flights from the UK. The ferry ports of St. Malo and Caen are all within a comfortable days drive making Chauffour ideally placed for your holiday in the Dordogne.
The four gites are set in large, mature gardens complete with swimming pool, and can be rented individually or together for large groups. La Ferme is our large 5 bedroom farmhouse, the delightful 3 bedroom La Grange, our 2 bedroom gite, La Porcherie and the 4 bedroom La Petite Maison.
With two young children of our own, we understand the needs of families on holiday. Not only are children very welcome at Chauffour, we have tried to think of everything to ensure all you need is at hand. We offer a Dinner on Arrival service and provide a welcome pack so that you don't have to tackle the supermarket with the children after travelling all day. We also hold Pizza Nights and provide Sunday Lunches to help ensure that every one gets to have a good holiday! We have a selection of bikes and helmets for most ages and can advise on the best cycle routes to suit your ability.
