This superb property is surrounded by beautiful open countryside in this historic part of the Perigord Vert, with many interesting places to visit, and an abundance of wildlife. Brantome, the Venice of Perigord, with its famous Abbey, and the Roman City of Perigueux are within easy reach, as are the vineyards of Bordeaux, Bergerac and Cognac. Accessible sporting activities include golf, tennis and riding.

The well-insulated stone building is detached from the main house, and has exclusive use of a new secure heated swimming pool, with pool house. The house has been lovingly restored to an exceptional standard, and has plenty of outside space including areas for sitting, eating, parking and the swimming pool.

The living area is open plan and includes sofas and chairs, a cloakroom and a fully equipped, well fitted kitchen which includes washing machine and dishwasher. French windows provide access to a private terrace. The property has under-floor heating which is ideal for those who plan winter breaks! There are two bedrooms arranged as one twin room and one double. Both bedrooms are en-suite, one with a walk-in shower. There are also two large bedrooms with bathrooms available in the main house which could be used to increase the number of people renting La Chartreuse.

Set in over 150 acres of farmland between Villeneuve Sur Lot and Cahors, on the edge of the Aquitaine & Dordogne regions, Bordeneuve is a luxurious retreat surrounded by gardens and trees, where children can run about safely and where a passing car is an event. We have a full sized tennis court, hot-tubs, huge 11x5.5 pool, sauna, child alarm and new Splash buzzer personal alarms for toddlers. We also have table tennis, kids area, with swings, sandpit, wendy house and toys and 6 mountaiin bikes, which are free for our guests to use at any time. Now open from April till November!

L 'Oiseau Bleu (sleeps 2+1) is a traditionally designed open plan studio which has a small galleried bedroom, with very low beams, very romantic, but mind your head! Exposed stone walls, blissfully cool in summer with contemporary furnishings which add to its comfort and charm. The open plan lounge area has a comfy double, sofa bed with discreetly hidden, English speaking Satellite TV and DVD, dining table and well equipped kitchen with fridge, hob and oven, microwave, and dishwasher. 2 huge french doors open on to a private stone verandah with table, chairs,BBQ and spectacular views! There is a luxury shower room with 6 jet hydromassage shower, low level sink and WC. In the shared utility room you will find washing machines, dryers, ironing equipment, and freezer.

Le Papillon (sleeps 4+2) is a traditionally designed, two bedroomed gite, with exposed stone walls, beamed ceilings and comfortable contemporary furnishings. It has a lounge area with discreetly hidden English-speaking Satellite TV and DVD, together with a comfortable sofa which converts to a double bed. The well equipped kitchen includes fridge, cooker, microwave and dishwasher, and between the two gites is a laundry room with washing machines, dryers, ironing equipment + freezer. Le Papillon has a luxury shower room with a 10 jet hydromassage shower with an integral baby bath. The two bedrooms are upstairs - one with a double bed, the other with twin beds. There is a private covered patio area directly outside with a table and chairs and BBQ; again, the views are spectacular.

Bégou is a charming Perigourdine barn of local honey-coloured stone, located in SW France in the department of the Lot-et-Garonne, very close to the Dordogne, mid-way between the picturesque historic bastide towns of Monflanquin and Villereal. The property enjoys an elevated, yet very private situation, with magnificent views over low wooded hills and fields.

The Barn is converted into living accommodation of a very high standard with all the facilities required to ensure the perfect holiday. During the conversion from barn to luxury living accommodation, the floors were constructed of solid material. Then carefully covered with hand selected tiles, some Italian, some Portuguese, but all of the very highest quality. The result is an attractive flooring, cool during the heat of summer, warm and cosy in winter due to the underfloor heating.

Begou has four bedrooms, three bathrooms with shower and WC and a separate WC, to comfortably accommodate up to 9 people, plus a baby in a cot. The ground floor is mainly open plan, with a large comfortable lounge with sofas, arm chairs and satellite TV, while a large dining area means everyone can enjoy meals together when the weather prevents eating outside. The kitchen is fully fitted, and includes all modern appliances.

Outside of the 'high' season (July & August) take advantage of the cheaper flights by booking Bégou mid-week to mid-week.

Spacious and tastefully restored to a very high standard, these two delightful properties offer spacious, luxury accommodation with fully fitted kitchens, including fridge, cooker, microwave & dishwasher, as well as Satellite TV, video & DVD. There is a utility room with washing machines, dryers, ironing equipment and freezer and lastly cots and high chairs for our smaller guests. Both properties have private terraces with garden furniture, BBQ's and lovely views.

L'Hirondelle (sleeps 14) is furnished with a tasteful mixture of rustic and modern furnishings and antiques, with original features such as solid stone walls, heavily beamed ceilings in every room, and a huge stone fireplace and pretty white spiral staircase in the lounge. The dining table seats 14 people for those unmissable French banquets. L'Hirondelle has 2 double bedrooms downstairs sharing a large shower room and 3 bedrooms upstairs - 1 double with luxury en-suite bathroom with free standing slipper bath and 2 other bedrooms each with one double bed and one sofa which easily converts to a double bed.

L'Alouette is a lovingly restored, solid stone walled barn, with four bedrooms to sleep a total of eight people. The open plan lounge has a contemporary 8 seater sofa which converts to a double bed. English speaking Sat TV DVD and Video. The luxury kitchen is fully fitted with 8 hob range cooker, American fridge/freezer with integral ice maker, microwave, dishwasher and leads to a huge dining table which easily sits 8. There are 3 double bedrooms downstairs, and an antique spiral staircase leads to a 4th galleried bedroom with en suite toilet, and low level sink. The large downstairs bathroom has a separate 6 jet hydro massage shower, low level sink, WC and a gorgeous, free standing, huge, roll top bath - Heaven!
