The gite is a charming converted cowshed set in beautiful countryside. At least 150 years old, it has recently been refurbished to a very high standard but retaining original beams and other features. La Dehayrie stands almost at the end of a country lane which is a no-through-road, so the location is very quiet. We are part of the commune of Guehebert, which is halfway between the cathedral city of Coutances and the charming market town of Gavray, both 15 minutes' drive. The magnificent beach on the Cherbourg peninsula is 20 minutes' drive, and less than 90 minutes away are Cherbourg itself, Caen and St Malo/ Dinard airport. There is plenty of choice of excellent reasonably priced restaurants in the neighbouring towns and villages.

The gite has an open-plan living area approximately 5 metres x 4 metres (16ft x 13ft), including a fully-fitted modern kitchen. Upstairs, there is a double bedroom with ensuite shower room with large shower area. Heating throughout is by electricity. Lighting is by modern spots. Wireless broadband is available. Outside, the gite has its own small terrace. West-facing, it enjoys glorious evening sunshine in the summer months. A car is essential, as the nearest market town is 15 minutes' drive away, though a few shops are nearer. This is a holiday gite for a couple who above all want peace and quiet, with excellent walking either in the glorious local countryside or by the sea. Riding and golf are available nearby. For the more adventurous, you can take a ride in a small plane or go parachuting.

This newly renovated village house is located in the small village of Pont Farcy, with easy access from the A84 motorway, and less than 1 hours drive from Le Mont St Michel, Caen, Bayeux, St Malo and the D Day Beaches. Although Pont Farcy is a relatively small village it has a bakers, a restaurant, a bar, a general store at the garage, a hairdressers and a post office. There is plenty to do in the village and surrounding area, including the river, canoeing, the Gorges of Vire etc

The house has been nicely renovated and has one bedroom plus a sofa bed in the lounge to accommodate up to four people. On the ground floor it has an open plan dining room / kitchen with gas cooker, microwave/grill and fridge with small freezer compartment, and a bathroom with washing machine, dryer, good sized bath and shower. Up a flight of spiral stairs, you'll find the spacious lounge with sofabed, off which is the bedroom with double bed. The cottage has WiFi Broadband, Free to Air Satellite TV, DVD player and stereo system.

In Saint-Sauveur-le-Vicomte and surrounding areas there are a whole range of events from clay pigeon shooting, wine tasting and the D-Day landing beaches which are less than a 40 minute drive away. The famous St Mere-Eglise is only 20 minutes away from us. There are miles upon miles of other beautiful golden sand beaches which can be reached within 15 minutes and are on the west side of the peninsula. These include Carteret which also has an internationally used harbour which increases the wide range of restaurants and cafes from specialist fish restaurants to traditional French creperies.

There are two holiday cottages as follows: La Ramsbury is a traditional two bedroomed stone built cottage. The cottage comfortably sleeps 4 and is beautifully presented. The ground floor is open plan with fully fitted kitchenette, complete with cooker, fridge and microwave. The living area has a television with Sky satellite freeview TV channels installed, hi-fi and dining area. Upstairs you will find a double bedroom, a second bedroom with two single beds and a bathroom with bath and shower.

La Pepinere is a stone built, French long house. Also beautifully presented, it has 3 bedrooms and sleeps 6. It has a newly fitted kitchen with cooker, fridge and microwave. The separate lounge/dining room has a television with Sky satellite freeview TV channels installed and hi-fi. There is a double bedroom and two further bedrooms each with twin beds. Fitted bathroom with shower. Fully central heated and communal gardens. Outside "La Pepinere" there is a large porch area overlooking the lake. Ideally positioned for enjoying lovely French wines and cheeses on a relaxed warm evening. Bed linen and towels are provided.

Le Gite Normandy is situated just outside the village of Landelles et Coupigny near Vire in the Calvados region of Normandy, just 3/4 hr away from both the ferry port of Caen and the Normandy Beaches. Within approximately one hour there are a number of interesting attractions including the famous Mont St Michel, the Gorges of Vire, the city of Caen, sites of the World War 11 D Day Landings and the seaside resort of Granville.

The gite comprises two bedrooms; one double and one twin, both cheerfully decorated and with all bedding, sheets and towels provided. There is an extremely large and comfortable lounge with TV, DVD and stereo. Also in the large lounge is a dining area and additional sleeping space, using the sofa-bed provided. The kitchen is well equipped with fridge, cooker and microwave and also a bathroom. There is a large leisure room by the south facing swimming pool and plenty of seats for sunbathing.

Set in 30 hectares, the gite also has a small lake complete with boat for the more active holidaymaker, and Duck Island which houses a newly built collection of ducks with their own log cabin! There are carp in the lake for fishing (currently twenty two pounders, but growing all the time!), and there is also a narrow river all around the property where you can join the locals in fishing for trout.

Only 1.5 hours from Calais, this self-contained wing of a late 18th century farmhouse is situated 3km from the market town of Gamaches with its 14th Century church and Saturday market. The charming seaside towns of Le Treport and Mers-les-Bains with their wonderful seafood restaurants are about half an hour's drive. A little farther is Le Crotoy with its sandy beaches.

On the ground floor, the accommodation comprises fully-equipped kitchen / dining room with fridge, cooker, oven and microwave, large double bedroom with sitting area, king-size bed and child's bed, 2nd double bedroom, bathroom with w.c., basin and bath with shower and utility room with washing machine and dishwasher.

On the first floor is a large bedroom / games room stretching length of guest wing with 4 single beds, ping-pong table, small snooker table, sitting area with tv, video, cd player and extensive book and video collection. More beds can be put in this area if desired. For the cooler seasons we have a very efficient central heating system, as well as log fires. All linen, electricity and heating are included, as well as a complimentary bottle of wine for guests.

Outside are the swimming pool, badminton net, boules, garden furniture and barbecues. For smaller groups or shorter stays, we also offer Bed and Breakfast accommodation in the Manor from £50 per night.

This beautifully refurbished gite is set in a secluded location in the hamlet of Brouains, between Sourdeval and Mortain in the Manche area of Normandy. The gite is well situated for the D Day beaches, Le Mont St Michel and many other areas of interest in Normandy. Located on the D911 near La Sée River, it has a good restaurant Moulin de la Sée just 5 minutes walk down the road. The nearest big town is Vire, about 20 minutes away, which is famous for its Bocage (A mosaic of rolling, meandering landscapes made up of meadows, hedgerows and hillsides through which rivers make their way.) its Gorges and its sausages! There is a lot to do for the more athletic like walking, hiking, cycling, riding!

The gite has been refurbished to an extremely high standard to create a large family holiday home with five bedrooms and 4 bathrooms (3 en-suite) to sleep up to 10 people, or 12 people by utilising the sofa bed in the largest bedroom. The kitchen comes fully equipped with a Scandanavian solid wood table that can seat 10 people, a large cooker, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and a selection of cutlery and china. There is also a toilet just off the kitchen. The Lounge can comfortably seat 12 people, and comes equipped with Fireplace, Large Satellite Free to Air Sky TV and DVD.

We have created a tiled ramp for disabled access from the parking into the house, and there is a twin bedroom on the ground floor which contains an en-suite bathroom (wet room) with sit down shower suitable for people with mobility problems.
