GRANARY COTTAGE, Renwick, Cumbria
Tastefully converted 19th Century character cottage in one of the friendliest villages in Cumbria, sleeps 5.

£125 - £285

The tiny village of Renwick is one of Cumbria's best kept secrets, being located in a small hollow 750 feet up on the North Pennine fells overlooking the lush Eden Valley. This location means the village is virtually hidden from the outside world and makes a great place for a completely get away from it all holiday. Keen walkers will find they are out in open countryside in less than a minute, with the obvious destination being the Renwick Fells that rise above the village. However for the less ambitious "ambler" there is a host of more gentle walks including a three mile walk alongside Raven Beck into Kirkoswald, where the local pub, The Crown, offers some of the best food in Cumbria.

Granary Cottage has been tastefully decorated and well equipped with all the latest "mod cons" to ensure that your stay is as comfortable as possible - even the bed linen and towels are provided. The spacious lounge has TV, video and hi-fi, a roaring woodburning stove, and welcoming sofas from which to enjoy it. The kitchen / dining room is likewise fully equipped with all the key equipment, while the two bedrooms offer old-fashioned comfort and style, with a bathroom also on the first floor. Outside, the traditional cottage style garden is fully fenced off, making it secure for children to play in. We know how much a dog or dogs can be part of the family so we are happy for you to bring your pets to the cottage, although we are sorry, but we do not allow smokers.
