Swilland Mill Luxury Accommodation, Nr Woodbridge, Suffolk

Originally a coal-fired roller mill, built in the 1890s adjacent to what was once one of Suffolk's finest windmills. Swilland Mill has been newly converted into three adjoining 5 star luxury properties, all extremely private and yet flexible providing high specification luxury holiday accommodation for 16 persons. We have retained the imposing and fascinating structure of the industrial interior. Original doors and pulleys used in the processing of the flour remain, the old flour lift and of course the chimney, whilst the top quality finishings, modern furnishings and decoration create real comfort.



There are tables and chairs on the terrace to the front of the building with large gardens to the side and rear. Attractive exterior lighting welcomes you to the property and continues to the Mill's hot tub and outside changing room. From there lawns lead to the children's play area. The old mill pond has a fountain and is fully fenced.



There are 3 king sized double bedrooms and 4 twin bedded rooms (3 bathrooms plus 2 ensuites in total). Twin beds can be zipped together to create superking sized beds. There is also a day bed with a pull out trundle. The trundle can be situated wherever needed.



Kitchens are ultra modern and well equipped. The Lucam, the central property sleeps 8 and has a dining table to seat 16 as well as all the necessary cutlery and china etc.

Old English for 'Mill' and situated over 4 floors, The Mylen is pure luxury for two couples or Mum, Dad and children, offering two bedrooms – one ensuite, and a family bathroom. Original features sit alongside modern living. Equipped with a 42” satellite TV and Nintendo Wii games console, you can enjoy games nights by the log fire, watch a movie on the projector and screen or play parlour games and read.

Directly outside there is a bricked terrace with table and chairs and a planter (originally a cattle feeder) with herbs and shrubs. The Mill's hot tub is large enough for the whole group and is permanently heated. Beside it is a changing room. There is also a bike store and parking area.

Your private garden has a fish pond, Gazebo, BBQ, Swingball and the communal area also has a children's play area with a windmill play house. When you have exhausted all the Mill has to offer, expand the boundaries. Suffolk has some wonderful places to visit – give them a try and on your return our hot tub will be waiting for you to relax in and plan another glorious day!

A projecting structure in the roof of a mill which contained the winch. This now forms a dressing room and a view. The Lucam is the middle house of the Mill, covering four floors and also the Matriarch, big and beautiful.

Three bedrooms over two floors and two bathrooms and enough room for everyone to eat and relax if using the whole Mill as one big house or a great family get away.

Enjoy the 50” satellite TV and Nintendo Wii games console or have a movie night with the projector and screen – you can even have the simple life with books and parlour games if you want to escape the 'mad, mad world'.

Your private garden is just that, an escape with fish pond, Gazebo, Swingball and BBQ. The Mill's hot tub at night is a must with chilled champagne and if you need more, just enjoy Suffolk. We have loads to see, why not find out!

The dining table in The Lucam is large enough for 16 which makes it ideal for Anniversaries, Christmas, that special Birthday or just a 'Get Together' of friends and family. The gardens, the hot tub and cinema screens all lend themselves to a very special and memorable time.

You'll find a whole host of local attrractions and facilities in and around Swilland and Woodbridge in Suffolk. As well as cycle routes and footpaths if you wish to explore the local surroundings by foot or by bike.

You're on holiday so why not take a break from the cooking and eat out at one of our local pubs...Sample the real ales made by our region's brewers in The Moon and Mushroom, Swilland, enjoy fish and chips at the Grundisburgh Dog and whether it's lunch outside on a sunny day or Sunday roast in cosy surroundings, The Fountain at Tuddenham and The Cretingham Bell are definitely worth a try.
