This charming traditional flint cottage is tucked away in the picturesque village of Blakeney on the North Norfolk Coast, part of the largest coastal nature reserve in England and Wales. Blakeney is particularly known for its sheltered harbour and quay, and the village provides a good range of local shops, restaurants and pubs. The cottage is about 3 minutes' walk away from the quay, and excellent pubs such as The Kings Arms and The White Horse.

As our own weekend retreat The Old Coach House, which has been converted in such a way as to retain its traditional character, is furnished and equipped to a high standard. Its location offers an ideal base to spend time in the historic village of Little Walsingham, explore the beauty of the North Norfolk Coast and its villages or just simply to relax. 

The living area is open plan, with solid oak floor, and has a freestanding wood burner as the focus to the lounge area, which also has colour TV and video. The compact kitchen area leads from the corner of the dining area, and includes electric oven/hob, microwave, slim line dishwasher and fridge. An integral garage also houses a washing machine / tumble dryer. Upstairs the character of the original building is preserved with exposed beams and sloping ceilings in each of the rooms. The main bedroom, again with an oak floor, has a 5ft iron bed, sofa and an antique mahogany wardrobe. The second bedroom has an antique double iron bed. Finally the bathroom sneaks in under the eaves, with a small bath with electric shower and traditional hand basin & WC. There is also a downstairs cloakroom with wc. Outside is an enclosed courtyard garden with garden furniture.

This recently updated character cottage is located in the pretty Broadland village of Reedham, on the River Yare. Reedham is an ideal central location to explore the Norfolk Broads and coast, as well as the Suffolk Heritage coast which can be reached via the unique Reedham chain ferry. For bird watchers, the important RSPB reserves at Stumpshaw Fen and Halvergate Marshes are also closeby (15 mins).

Swifts Cottage is located in the pretty village of Syderstone, approximately 6 miles from Burnham Market, and 10 miles from Wells-Next-The-Sea, on the North Norfolk Coast. In a rural location, it is set in gardens extending to 1/3 acre, which include BBQ and garden furniture.

The cottage is approximately 150 years old, and has been tastefully refurbished to include modern facilities, whilst retaining character features such as exposed beams etc. It has a large through lounge with wood burning stove, TV, video and hi-fi - with plenty of light, and a sofa bed which pulls out to sleep two. The dining room and well equipped kitchen are open plan, and include dishwasher, microwave, washer / drier etc. All rooms downstairs have views of open fields or the rear garden. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms - 2 double and 1 twin - and the family bathroom with wc; there is also a separate wc. Sorry, we don't accept pets, and no smoking is allowed indoors.
