English Tourism Council 4 Stars This charming traditional flint cottage is tucked away in the picturesque village of Blakeney on the North Norfolk Coast, part of the largest coastal nature reserve in England and Wales. Blakeney is particularly known for its sheltered harbour and quay, and the village provides a good range of local shops, restaurants and pubs. The cottage is about 3 minutes' walk away from the quay, and excellent pubs such as The Kings Arms and The White Horse. Beautifully restored, this luxurious hideaway combines period charm with modern day comfort. |

| The Cottage | Wren
Cottage is part of a traditional terrace built around 1825, which
has been extensively restored over the past couple of years.
It is intended as a luxurious hideaway for two, but in practice, there
is plenty of space to accommodate a cot in the bedroom, and the sofa
in the sitting room also converts to a sofa bed. Please note: we do
not accept pets.
The cottage is beautifully furnished and very well appointed. In detail, the accommodation comprises:- Downstairs
A broad flight of stairs (not the original narrow, winding staircase) leads to the first floor: First Floor Upstairs, the cottage would originally have had 2 bedrooms, but the first floor has now been laid out as one very large and luxurious bedroom, with King size bed, traditional pine furniture and lovely views over the marshes towards Blakeney Point. Outside The west facing garden has a shingled terrace and small lawn and flower beds. Garden furniture and barbeque are provided. At the end of the garden is a large garage (suitable for storing a small boat if required - up to around 16ft), and a shingled parking area. A 150m walk down the lane at the bottom of the garden brings you out onto the coastal path from Blakeney to Morston - and in daylight and decent weather, this is also the best route for the 3-4 minute walk to the centre of the village. |

| The Area |
At the heart of the North Norfolk Conservation Area, Blakeney is surrounded by beautiful countryside and about 1 mile from the village of Cley, which is one of the most important locations for birdwatching in the UK. The village provides some local shops, but shopping on a wider scale is catered for in the delightful Georgian market town of Holt, about 4 miles inland - or you may like to visit the beautiful Cathedral City of Norwich, only 45 minutes drive away. Along the coast there are a great variety of places of interest and a wealth of things to do - we do keep a comprehensive guide to these in the cottage, but the local attractions include the following:-
