English Tourist Board 3 StarsIn the heart of the beautiful Lake District National Park this delightful 200 year old traditional stone terraced cottage is situated in the little hamlet of Edinboro on the edge of Ambleside. The small, friendly market town of Ambleside, nestled amidst the fells of Fairfield, Loughrigg and Wansfell, at the head of Lake Windermere - is only 5 minutes walk from the cottage.
Much loved by its owner, Birch Cottage provides a real 'home from home' - an ideal place to relax after a long day out. Laid out on three storeys, it is comfortably furnished, tastefully decorated & well-equipped throughout. Cosy even in winter, it has full gas central heating. It has a cosy lounge with living flame gas fire, colour TV with Sky, books and games, and a fully equipped kitchen / diner with full size gas cooker, refrigerator, toaster and microwave. There are two bedrooms, both with window seats and views - a cosy twin bedroom, and a spacious and charming beamed double bedroom with a separate relaxation area from which to enjoy the views. The roomy bathroom has shaver point, bath & separate walk-in power shower. Outside, there is an Enclosed garden with seating and lovely views to Wansfell, and parking for one car. Please note: the cottage is strictly non-smoking, and we're sorry, but we do not accept pets.
