This well-equipped cosy cottage is in a peaceful and relaxing setting on the attractive village green in the small, attractive village of Litton, situated in the Peak District National Park, 4 miles North West of Bakewell. It is just a one minute walk from the Red Lion pub and the village shop is opposite, with further shops and amenities available in nearby Tideswell. There are good walks from the front door, including Monsal Dale and Litton Dale.

The cottage has been recently refurbished to a very high standard, including full gas central heating by radiators, plus a gas fire in the sitting room. The sitting / dining room has dining table, carpet, comfortable suite, colour TV, DVD player, CD&DVD library and CD Player/Radio, while the well-equipped oak kitchen includes slate floor, fridge, washing machine, microwave and electric cooker. One step up from the kitchen is the new bathroom with bath, WC and hand basin on ground floor. Upstairs there are original wooden floorboards to two bedrooms - one double (travel cot if needed) and a single with 3ft bed. All costs of heating and electricity are included in the price, as well as all bed linen.

Enjoy England 4 Star Gold

These four high quality 4 Star Gold cottages are set in a wonderful location in the centre of the White Peak, surrounded by lovely dales and hills in all directions, yet less than half a mile from the pub in Biggin and one mile from the facilities in the highly popular and much visited village of Hartington.

Despite a consistent grading of the cottages by Enjoy England, the official tourist body for England, as 4 Stars, the owners have constantly striven to upgrade and improve their standards and facilities and this is reflected in the grant of the newly introduced 'Gold Award' by Enjoy England, for 'exceptional quality and commitment to service.'

All the cottages have DVDs, videos, microwaves, radios, stone sinks and hardwood units, and all other facilities appropriate to a high quality conversion. Each of the cottages have two TVs, three have the full Sky and Film package and one has Sky Plus. The owners particularly pride themselves on their standards of housekeeping. The owners are able to offer low cost cycle hire and all cottages have the benefit of wi-fi reception. There are 9 much praised, highly personliased, well organised information folders in each cottage, possibly the best in the business, reflecting the owners determination to ensure guests have a good stay and are tempted to make return visits.

There are footpaths on the doorstep and three cycle trails of average 15 miles length within 3 miles, one within one mile. Sustrans route 54 passes within 80 yards and country lanes, perfect for cycling, abound.

The land on which the cottages stand is surrounded by a nature reserve through which a footpath runs to the River Dove. Just over a mile downriver is Dovedale.

Quite apart from the great outdoors, there are almost certainly more attractions (such as Chatsworth) within 30 minutes drive of the Cottages than anywhere else in the UK.

Set in one of the best rural locations in Derbyshire, approached along a quiet country lane, and surrounded by fields and woodland, Middle Farm is hidden deep in the countryside, yet it is only a short distance from the main A6 road between Bakewell and Buxton. The farm lies in the midst of some of the finest scenery and walking country in the Peak District. Monsal Dale is literally just around the corner and Millers Dale is only a short walk away. The newly opened cycle trails and tunnels along the former railway line are easily accessible from this base. It is an ideal central location for visiting all the major attractions in Derbyshire including Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Buxton Opera House, Bakewell, Lathkill Dale and all the numerous picturesque villages in the area.

Maigold is a superb barn conversion, fitted out to a very high standard and offering spacious accommodation. Many interesting features including exposed beams and roof trusses have been retained. It has a spacious lounge with beamed ceiling, a traditional log-burning stove, colour TV and video, large farmhouse-style dining kitchen with fully fitted units, hob, oven, microwave, fridge and dishwasher. A slate floor, pine and oak beams and recessed light fittings lend a special atmosphere to the room. There is an attractive double bedroom with exposed roof trusses and an external door to the patio area. The twin bedded room has a beamed ceiling. Outside, the sunny patio has furniture and a barbecue. Maigold Cottage is all on one level and can accommodate disabled and wheelchair access. Grab rails are fitted in bath, shower and toilet areas.

These three cottages are set around a private courtyard in the centre of one of the ‘honey-pot’ villages of the Peak District The six person 5 star graded picture postcard cottage (with three ensuites and inglenook fireplace) is 700 years old and has original (700 year old!) beams exposed, an Inglenook fireplace and stone mullion window. The other two cottages, again with plenty of beams and considerable character, are well above average size and are graded in the top end of 4 star. All three have central heating, full sky programmes and wifi.. All bedrooms have their own TV and each bed has an extra thick mattress. Each cottage has 9(!) highly organised, much praised, personalised information folders. In the grading process the cottages all achieved an unheard of 100% for standards of cleanliness.

The village is very popular during the day but is remarkably quiet in the evening. Many people come just to park up being the start of many excellent walks, has teashops, two pubs, a couple of gift shops, two grocers and newsagents. The village is famous for its duck pond and cheese shop and Old Hall.

The village is approached down a three mile long dale, with limestone cliffs towering above on either side. One of the numerous walks starts in the village, immediately passes over alovely meadow to reach the River Dove just 300 yards away. Dovedale is easily accessible downriver.

As well as footpaths, bridleways and ‘leisure lanes’ abound in the area. There are three cycle trails within 3 miles of about 15 miles each, Sustran Route 54 passes within 80 yards and there is an extensive network of quiet country lanes and there is a cycle hire base 3 miles away. Quite apart from the great outdoors, there are numerous attractions in the area, such as Chatsworth, indeed there is almost certainly more to do within 30 minutes drive than anywhere else in the UK.

Ladyhole House is an Edwardian country house, set at the top of a sweeping drive lined with Chestnut trees, and in the spring covered in a carpet of daffodils. It is set in mature gardens and grounds, with many beautiful trees and a walled garden. Guests of The Old Stables are welcome to enjoy all that the gardens offer, outdoor barbecues in the summer, an 'en tout cas' tennis court and croquet. For horse owners, there are stables and grazing near the house. Quiet countryside surrounds the house where it is possible to walk and cycle, and yet Ashbourne, the local market town, is only two miles away.

The Old Stables is situated to the rear of the main house in its own gardens. Beautifully furnished, it can sleep 6 or 7 people very comfortably. A hallway leads to the fully equipped kitchen with Rayburn stove, dishwasher, microwave etc, and a utility room with washing machine and drier. The sitting room has an open fire, TV, DVD and CD player, and French windows opening out into a large conservatory, furnished with dining table and chairs, together with comfortable chairs for relaxing in. The conservatory opens into a patio area, with barbecue and garden chairs. There is also a twin-bedded bedroom downstairs, with basin and lavatory opposite. Upstairs there are two bedrooms - 1 double or twin-bedded room (plus Z bed) with adjacent bathroom, and one further twin-bedded room with shower. There is a Stannah stairlift to assist those with impaired mobility to get upstairs, and there are also ramps for wheelchairs.

Albertine Barn is a two storey conversion providing an elevated position with stunning views across the valley. The cottage is newly decorated and beautifully furnished, with extensive use of pine beams throughout, including exposed trusses in upstairs bedrooms. The accommodation comprise spacious lounge with picture views over across the valley, fully fitted dining kitchen with modern appliances including microwave and dishwasher, 2 double bedrooms and 2 twin bedrooms - one of which is on the ground floor. Both double bedrooms can be made into ensuite by locking doors to corridor areas. There are two bathrooms upstairs and a separate shower/toilet on ground floor level. There are garden, picnic, BBQ and courtyard areas next to the cottage.

With open views across surrounding countryside, Sandybrook is the ideal location for exploring the Peak District and visiting the Potteries. Woodlands Cottage is a spacious and superbly appointed, four bedroomed, stone cottage to sleep up to 8 - enclosed in its own garden with a large sun terrace, hot tub and outdoor furniture. The modern pine fitted dining kitchen is equipped with microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. The lovely sitting room has sliding patio doors opening on to the private patio area, a CD player, Freeview television and DVD player; there is also a separate elegant dining room. The cottage has two beautifully furnished double bedrooms, one with colour TV, and two twin-bedded rooms; there are two bathrooms - one with wc, double-ended bath and shower cubicle and a shower room with WC. Woodlands Cottage is based at Darwin Forest Country Park where you are free to enjoy the use of the many facilities which include a woodland walk and forest trail. These charming stone built cottages are located around an 18th century farmhouse on Win Hill, with a panoramic view over the Hope Valley and across to Castleton and its famous caverns and historic castle. All around there is superb walking country, and the wide choice of sightseeing opportunities includes Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Buxton Spa and the famous Blue John Caverns in nearby Castleton.

All the cottages offer a high level of comfort, are centrally heated and provided with bed linen, towels, crockery, fridge freezer, flat screen TV with free sat , DVD players, microwave oven and electric cooker. Travel Cots and high chairs are available on request. There is a shared utility room with a washing machine, tumble drier & additional freezer space.
There is an indoor heated swimming pool next door to the main residence which is available for the use of guests and is open Easter to October half term.
Ash & Birch Cottages are identical 4-bedroom cottages sleeping 8 people each, or can be joined via an interconnecting door to accommodate parties of up to 16.

Built in 1709 and listed as a building of historical interest, Hillside Croft is an exceptionally attractive detached country cottage. Whilst retaining all of its charm, it has been tastefully restored to provide a luxuriously furnished home of high standards and extreme quality, with every modern comfort. Separate lounge and dining rooms, well equipped farmhouse kitchen. It is set in over six acres of beautifully maintained cottage gardens with fenced ponds and adjoining pastureland, and is safe and secure for children, quiet, private and relaxing for those wanting peace and wonderful scenery. With five bedrooms, Hillside Croft sleeps 14+ 2 adults comfortably.

Billy's Bothy is a beautiful brick cottage in a quiet rural location within pastureland peacefully grazed by cattle and sheep - the perfect place to relax! Restored to an exceptional standard, with beamed ceilings, revealed brickwork and oak floors, giving character and a cosy glow throughout. We cannot achieve wheelchair access but have designed the cottage so that all rooms needed for someone with limited mobility are on one level, accessible from the car park area avoiding all stairs. The ground floor has 3 en-suite bedrooms, 2 double and 1 twin plus option of 6th en suit room. A magnificent oak staircase leads to a galleried kitchen on the first floor. On this floor are two further en-suite bedrooms. The large dining room is a delight for wining and dining and a large comfortable lounge with log stove will keep you warm and relaxed. French windows open onto a patio area and orchard with lovely views.
