This well-equipped cosy cottage is in a peaceful and relaxing setting on the attractive village green in the small, attractive village of Litton, situated in the Peak District National Park, 4 miles North West of Bakewell. It is just a one minute walk from the Red Lion pub and the village shop is opposite, with further shops and amenities available in nearby Tideswell. There are good walks from the front door, including Monsal Dale and Litton Dale.

The cottage has been recently refurbished to a very high standard, including full gas central heating by radiators, plus a gas fire in the sitting room. The sitting / dining room has dining table, carpet, comfortable suite, colour TV, DVD player, Video player, Video & DVD library and CD Player/Radio, while the well-equipped oak kitchen includes slate floor, fridge, washing machine, microwave and electric cooker. One step up from the kitchen is the new bathroom with bath, WC and hand basin on ground floor. Upstairs there are original wooden floorboards to two bedrooms - one double (travel cot if needed) and a single with 3ft bed. All costs of heating and electricity are included in the price, as well as all bed linen and towels.

Elton, a stone-built Peakland Village, stands within the boundaries of the Peak National Park and dates back to the 17th Century. The village remains completely unspoilt, the only souvenirs that you are likely to take away with you are sore feet, for Elton is walking and cycling territory. An ideal base to explore Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Buxton, Bakewell and even Alton Towers!  

Spring Farm Cottage dates back over 250 years and has all the mod cons, having been recently refurbished, including double glazing and gas central heating.  Enter the Cottage through the front porch and into the large beamed sitting room with a real open fire for those cosy nights in. Move into the large kitchen / diner with a gas cooker, fridge freezer, microwave and dishwasher. The outer hall is the perfect place to leave muddy boots and access the Courtyard where you can find logs/coal and BBQ equipment. Upstairs leads to two well-proportioned rooms, 1 double with cot/high chair and twin room with outstanding views of Robin Hood Stride and beyond.

Hog Cottage was once a mill cottage for workers at a local hat factory. It is set near the beautiful town of Wirksworth which provides shops, restaurants and pubs. If walking, cycling and sailing are your favourite pastimes then Hog Cottage is ideal as it is very close to Carsington Water, the Tissington Trail and the Midshires way. Other places to visit include Bakewell, The Heights of Abraham, the breathtaking Calver Edge and Chatsworth House.

Hog Cottage offers a cosy lounge which has a colour TV/Video, music centre and living flame gas fire. Set in one of the best rural locations in Derbyshire, approached along a quiet country lane, and surrounded by fields and woodland, Middle Farm is hidden deep in the countryside, yet it is only a short distance from the main A6 road between Bakewell and Buxton.

Maigold is a superb barn conversion, fitted out to a very high standard and offering spacious accommodation. Many interesting features including exposed beams and roof trusses have been retained. It has a spacious lounge with beamed ceiling, a traditional log-burning stove, colour TV and video, large farmhouse-style dining kitchen with fully fitted units, hob, oven, microwave, fridge and dishwasher. A slate floor, pine and oak beams and recessed light fittings lend a special atmosphere to the room. Enjoy England 4 Star Gold

These four high quality 4 Star Gold cottages are set in a wonderful location in the centre of the White Peak, surrounded by lovely dales and hills in all directions, yet less than half a mile from the pub in Biggin and one mile from the facilities in the highly popular and much visited village of Hartington.

Despite a consistent grading of the cottages by Enjoy England, the official tourist body for England, as 4 Stars, the owners have constantly striven to upgrade and improve their standards and facilities and this is reflected in the grant of the newly introduced 'Gold Award' by Enjoy England, for 'exceptional quality and commitment to service.'

All the cottages have DVDs, videos, microwaves, radios, stone sinks and hardwood units, and all other facilities appropriate to a high quality conversion. These three cottages are set around a private courtyard in the centre of this highly regarded village in the heart of the White Peak. The six person picture postcard cottage (with three ensuites and inglenook fireplace) is over 500 years old and heavily beamed as are the two person and three person cottages. All three have been extensively upgraded and quite genuinely with little regard for expense over the last few months.

Hartington is an extremely popular village during the day, but reverts to a quiet village in the evening. Many people come just to park up as it is the start of many excellent walks, has three teashops, two pubs, a couple of gift shops, two grocers and newsagents, one with cash and lottery machines. The village is famous for its duck pond and Cheese factory (and well known cheese shop) where genuine Stilton cheese (it can only be made in certain restricted areas) and other local cheeses are produced and sold. There is also a fine Norman church, and a magnificent Jacobean Youth Hostel.

Ladyhole House is an Edwardian country house, set at the top of a sweeping drive lined with Chestnut trees, and in the spring covered in a carpet of daffodils. It is set in mature gardens and grounds, with many beautiful trees and a walled garden. Guests of The Old Stables are welcome to enjoy all that the gardens offer, outdoor barbecues in the summer, an 'en tout cas' tennis court and croquet. For horse owners, there are stables and grazing near the house. Quiet countryside surrounds the house where it is possible to walk and cycle, and yet Ashbourne, the local market town, is only two miles away.

The Old Stables is situated to the rear of the main house in its own gardens. Beautifully furnished, it can sleep 6 or 7 people very comfortably. A hallway leads to the fully equipped kitchen with Rayburn stove, dishwasher, microwave etc, and a utility room with washing machine and drier. The sitting room has an open fire, TV, DVD and CD player, and French windows opening out into a large conservatory, furnished with dining table and chairs, together with comfortable chairs for relaxing in. The conservatory opens into a patio area, with barbecue and garden chairs. There is also a twin-bedded bedroom downstairs, with basin and lavatory opposite. Upstairs there are two bedrooms - 1 double or twin-bedded room (plus Z bed) with adjacent bathroom, and one further twin-bedded room with shower. There is a Stannah stairlift to assist those with impaired mobility to get upstairs, and there are also ramps for wheelchairs.

These stone built cottages are located around an 18th century farmhouse on Win Hill, with a panoramic view over the Hope Valley and across to Castleton and its famous caverns and historic castle. All around there is superb walking country, and the wide choice of sightseeing opportunities includes Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Buxton Spa and the famous Blue John Caverns in nearby Castleton.

All the cottages offer a high level of comfort, are centrally heated and provided with bed linen, towels, crockery, fridge freezer, TV video and DVD players, microwave oven and electric cooker. Travel Cots and high chairs are available on request. There is a shared utility room with a washing machine, tumble drier & additional freezer space. Chestnut Cottage is our smallest cottage with two-bedrooms to accommodate 2 or 4 people; Elm Cottage is a pretty 2-bedroom cottage with an extra bed-settee to accommodate up to 6; Ash & Birch Cottages are identical 4-bedroom cottages sleeping 8 people each, or can be joined via an interconnecting door to accommodate parties of up to 16. With a total of up to 28 beds in the four cottages this is also the ideal location for a real 'away from the office' group session.

Middle Farm lies on a sunny south-facing hillside high above Taddington Dale - a deep-cut limestone dale along which winds the A6 road. Albertine Cottage is a two storey barn conversion providing an elevated position with stunning views across the valley.
