The picturesque village of Blagdon nestles between the Mendip Hills and Blagdon Lake, ideally situated for anyone wanting to explore the lovely cities of Bristol, Bath and Wells - all within a short distance - as well as other interesting places of interest closeby such as Cheddar, Clevedon, Wookey Hole, Weston-Super-Mare etc.

The cottage has been fully modernised but retains many original features such as original flagstone floor, original fireplace and exposed beams. On the ground floor is the lounge, with woodburner, and a separate kitchen. From the kitchen a concealed staircase leads to the bedroom and en suite bathroom. Outside is a private patio - with table and chairs and a variety of tubs with flowers and shrubs. Off the patio is a small outbuilding with washing machine and room to store bikes, walking/fishing equipment. The whole cottage has been tastefully decorated and is well equipped for summer or winter holidays and short breaks.

This immaculately presented, double bedroomed cottage is situated at the gable end of a large converted barn set high above the valley of the Little Exe river about 4 miles from the UK's small Exmoor National park town of Dulverton. The beautiful Wimbleball Lake has a perimeter path of about 12 miles and both Wimbleball and the open heather moorland of Haddon Hill with its herd of Exmoor ponies and red deer are about 2 miles away. There is great walking and riding available in all seasons and permits for trout/salmon fishing can be arranged. Dulverton caters for daily shopping needs including a cash point and the local village pub is 1 mile away.

The cottage itself has a sitting room area with large oak beams, radiator, carpeted floor, comfortable sofa, wooden rocking chair, colour TV, video, small tables and a log burner. The kitchen area has cushion flooring, generous units, electric cooker, microwave, fridge, smaller appliances and good range of quality cooking utensils, crockery and glassware. Upstairs is a double bedroom, comfortably large enough for a cot or young child's bed and a bathroom with a power shower in double size cabinet, w.c., basin, shaver point and heated towel rail. Outside there is reasonable privacy and the cottage has it's own terrace with garden furniture and BBQ which overlooks the old lawned farmyard. Dogs are welcome by arrangement (supplement payable), beds are made up, all towels, electricity, main central heating and wood burner logs are provided.

For larger groups our other cottage, Toads Breech (which sleeps 4-5), is available to rent in conjunction with Buzzards. Weekly lets and short breaks are available.

Close to Somerset's coast, in a beautiful part of Englands West Country, Hope Farm has four non-smoking, self-catering holiday cottages, particularly ideal for families, dog lovers and the disabled, being all ground floor accommodation and having outdoor play area and games room, with nearby walks. The cottages are set in peaceful countryside, on the edge of picturesque Lympsham village.

The four holiday cottages have been sympathetically converted from the old farmyard outbuildings and have views across the pretty lawned courtyard and open fields behind. Each cottage has tasteful and relaxing accommodation for four people and a baby, with an open plan living room/kitchen, two bedrooms (one with a double bed and one with twin beds) and two bathrooms; a Z bed is available for a fifth person. All the cottages are on the ground floor and have easy wheelchair access throughout. Front door ramps and other aids for the elderly or disabled are available and a wheelchair can be hired and delivered. We welcome a well-behaved dog into each cottage, by prior arrangement. Broadband access is available.

Downstairs, there is a sitting room with a massive old oak beam, oak floor, 2 good sofas, TV, video and CD player and the log burning stove. Across the hall there is a kitchen/dining room which has a good range of applicances including dishwasher, electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine and dining space for 4-6. Upstairs there are 2 large bedrooms one with a King Size bed and one with twin beds (and easily room for a third), and the bathroom is equipped with bath and power shower, toilet, wash basin and shaving point. In addition there is a second WC downstairs. The cottage has its own private garden area for its guests' enjoyment with garden furniture and a BBQ. Dogs are welcome by arrangement (supplement payable), beds are made up and all towels, electricity, main central heating and wood burner logs are provided.

Centrally located for countryside and coast, there is plenty to do in the area. Explore the lovely gardens and country houses of the area - Montacute House, Barrington Court, and Forde Abbey - to name but a few. Take walks on the nearby beautiful Blackdowns or, if you feel more energetic, follow the planned cycle trails. The south coast is within easy reach with a number of resorts offering a variety of beaches and entertainment, and other local attractions include exotic animals at Cricket St Thomas, the Fleet Air Arm Museum, Perrys cider mill and Haynes Motor Museum.

This old and characterful house has spacious living areas, a large well equipped kitchen, utility/shower room, 4 bedrooms, and a bathroom and a shower room upstairs. Outside there are gardens, patio and ample off street parking. Please note, we're sorry, but we do not accept pets.

Set in a stunning unspoiled location, with lovely views of the surrounding countryside, Duddings offers all the ingredients for a memorable holiday in the beautiful Exmoor National Park. Duddings is an ideal base from which to explore the 600 miles of local public footpaths and bridleways, or the many picturesque villages and harbours within easy reach. Facilities at Duddings include a hard tennis court, warm indoor heated pool, putting green, pool table, and a table tennis table. There are eight acres of land to explore, with picnic areas, and a safe river where you may spot a brown trout!

The 12 Cottages (sleep 2-7) have been beautifully converted from old stone barns and stables, and are mostly grouped around a courtyard in a lovely setting with views of the wooded hills and scattered fields. The ancient beams and stone walls have been retained and enhanced by the provision of comfortable and stylish furniture, and excellent decorations. All the cottages are equipped to the highest standards, and include full oil-fired central heating. They range in size from one to three bedrooms, sleeping 2,3,4,5,6 or 7 people (click on picture for full details).

The West Wing (sleeps 12) forms the greater part of a traditionally built thatched Devon longhouse. Dating back to the 16th century and Grade II listed, the interior has been tastefully restored and offers a wealth of period features, including exposed beams and inglenook fireplaces. It has six bedrooms to sleep 12 people.
