The cottages are mostly grouped around a courtyard in a lovely setting with views of the wooded hills and scattered fields. Beautifully converted from old stone barns and stables, the ancient beams and stone walls having been retained and enhanced by the provision of comfortable and stylish furniture, and excellent decorations. 

All the cottages are equipped to the highest standards, with colour TVs, videos, microwaves, hairdryers, irons and ironing boards. Cosy heating by oil-fired central heating throughout.

These two cosy one-bedroomed apartments with lovely views, have an open plan kitchen / dining / living room, including washer-dryer etc, shower room and one bedroom.  Cleeve (ground floor) has a twin bedroom, whilst Horner (first floor) has a double bedroom and is reached by an outside staircase. 

Selworthy & Bossington (each sleeps 4)

These cottages both sleep four in two bedrooms, with open plan kitchen / dining / living room downstairs including washer-dryer, double and twin bedrooms, and shower room upstairs.  

Set slightly apart from the other cottages, with uninterrupted views across the valley, The Annexe has kitchen area with dishwasher and washer/dryer, dining / living room with woodburner and French windows downstairs. Double and twin bedrooms, and bathroom with shower over bath upstairs.  

Winsford (sleeps 4)

Upside down cottage sleeping four in two bedrooms. Double and twin bedrooms, bathroom with shower over bath, and extra loo downstairs. Kitchen / dining / living room upstairs which includes dishwasher and washer-dryer.   

Luccombe (sleeps 5)  

Upside down cottage sleeping five in two bedrooms. Double and triple bedrooms, and bathroom with shower over bath downstairs. Kitchen / dining / living room upstairs with dishwasher and washer-dryer.  

Allerford (sleeps 5) 

Sleeps five in three bedrooms. Double bedroom, bathroom with shower over bath, and kitchen/ dining / living room downstairs with dishwasher and washer-dryer. Twin and single bedrooms upstairs.

Withycombe (sleeps 6) 

Upside down cottage sleeping six in three bedrooms. Double and two twin bedrooms, bathroom with shower over bath, and shower room downstairs. Kitchen / dining / living room upstairs including dishwasher and washer-dryer. .  

These cottages have three bedrooms. A double and twin on the ground floor, together with a bathroom with shower over bath, kitchen with dishwasher and washer/dryer, dining area and living room. Upstairs is a triple bedroom and additional loo. Both cottages have patio doors giving glorious views across the fields.  

The West Wing forms the greater part of the traditionally built thatched Devon longhouse. Dating back to the 16th century and Grade II listed, the interior has been tastefully restored and offers a wealth of period features, including exposed beams and inglenook fireplaces. Approached through a private, walled patio garden, the entrance porch leads to the main hallway. 

The West wing provides comfortable, centrally heated accommodation for 10 people in 5 bedrooms, with an optional sixth if you are booking for 12. A twin bedded room is located on the ground floor, with a double, two twins and a bunk bedded room on the first.  The optional extra twin room is also on the first floor. There is a bathroom, and two shower rooms. Most first floor bedrooms have their own washbasins.

There are eight acres of land to explore, with picnic areas, and a safe river where you may spot a brown trout! This is a marvelous spot for a family holiday in an area which has so much to offer.
