Wales Tourist Board 3 & 4 Stars Situated on the gateway to The Gower Peninsula, South Wales - Britain’s first recognised Area of Outstanding National Beauty, breathtaking in any season. Clyne Farm Centre is located on one of the seven hills overlooking the majestic sweep of Swansea Bay and the historic fishing village of Mumbles. Beautiful unspoilt Gower beaches and countryside are only minutes away. Also available at the farm are many outdoor activities including horse riding, archery, indoor climbing, gorge walking, rock hopping, abseiling, and the famous Challenge Valley - the muddiest assault course in the world!!
At the turn of the century, our grounds and buildings formed part of the Estate of the Vivians of Clyne Castle, the copper barons of Swansea and the world. Much has changes in the Estate since the Vivians day - the old stone farm buildings have been converted into self catering cottages which embrace both traditional values and modern convenience. Two things have definitely not changed though, the spectacular view and sincere welcome given to each and everyone visiting us.
There are seven cottages on the main site; Byrons Barn, The Hayloft, The Dairy and Chapel Barn all sleep four persons (1 double, 1 twin), Horseshoe Cottage sleeps five persons (1 double, 1 twin, 1 single), Stables Cottage sleeps 6 persons (1 double, 2 twins) and The Old Schoolroom sleeps eight persons (2 doubles, 2 twins). The Dairy, Hayloft and Stables Cottage interconnect to sleep 14. Three miles away secluded within beautiful woodland and reached by a mile long stone track are Keepers Cottage (8 persons, 2 doubles, 2 twins) and Barn Owl Lodge (8 persons, 2 doubles, 2 twins) which can interconnect to sleep 16 persons. | |
