The Haven is situated in the heart of Gunnerside, enjoying a peaceful setting with views of Swaledale. It is ideally positioned for walking, mountain biking, sight seeing or simply relaxing in a tranquil atmosphere. Situated within the Yorkshire Dales National Park, a designated area of outstanding natural beauty, the cottage is also within easy reach of the Yorkshire Moors and Lake District, and has an abundance of places to visit, from castles to waterfalls. A traditional dales village pub and tearoom/bistro are within 100 yards of the cottage, with Reeth and Richmond providing easily accessible facilities. The local shop and good pub food are three miles away.

Recently renovated to retain its original charm, it has exposed beams, stone flags, and wood burning stove, the Haven is tastefully furnished and decorated to a high standard – including central heating, with radiators in each room upstairs and under floor heating on the ground floor, providing warmed flags. There is a well-equipped kitchen/dining room (including microwave), two good-sized bedrooms (one double, one twin) and a family bathroom (with shaving point, bath and shower). In addition travel cot, TV with DVD player and CD player/radio are also provided. There are sunny gardens to the front and rear with seating and barbeque. All fuel, power, bed linen and towels are supplied. Sorry this is a non-smoking cottage but one well-behaved pet is welcome by prior arrangement. Short winter breaks available.

These award winning self catering holiday cottages are ideally situated with easy access to the North Yorkshire Moors, Scarborough and Whitby on The Heritage Coast and The Vale of York. The North Yorkshire area abounds in historic sites and places of interest with lots to do and wide open spaces between. The farm originally formed part of the Wydale Hall Estate, and local walks provide panoramic views of the Vale of Pickering.

The cottages are grouped around a sunny courtyard and have been carefully converted to provide spacious accommodation in a quiet rural setting. All are fully equipped (including colour TVs, video recorders and microwaves) and furnished to a high standard. Total electric heating keeps the cottages warm all year round, with feature effect fires to the lounges and open fires in the Farmhouse Cottages if required. All cottages have one double and one twin bedroom, with bedding and towels provided. A laundry room is available for guests and there is ample parking next to the cottages. Well behaved dogs are welcome, but strictly limited to two per cottage.

Beautiful character cottage nestling in the peaceful village of Langthwaite in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, sleeps 4.

Tucked away just out of the centre of the small village of Langthwaite, which was used in the filming of All Creatures Great and Small, this charming cottage is ideally located for the fell walker, with an abundance of walks from the cottage itself, as well as a pub within 100 metres. It is also a very good base for the tourist, with easy access to the Dales, Lake District and even Whitby on the East Coast.

The cottage has been fully modernised and yet retains a great deal of its character, with flagstone floors, feature Inglenook fireplace and beamed ceiling in the lounge. There is a well equipped kitchen, two good sized bedrooms (one double, one twin) and a family bathroom. This holiday cottage has been very comfortably furnished throughout, and provides excellent holiday accommodation in a quiet and relaxing position, with a pleasant outlook from some rooms to the surrounding hills and fells. Nestled on a farmstead in the North York Moors National Park (Heartbeat Country), at the lower end of Farndale, famous for its wild daffodils, these stylish barn conversions were designed to provide home from home, with glorious scenic outlook; comfort being the keyword! The cottages are an excellent base for walking, being on the very edge of the Moors and having immediate access to fields, tracks, woods and a network of public footpaths including the link walk; you can walk out leaving your car behind! Named after the well-known, panoramic view looking down from the nearby church at Gillamoor; they are only 1 mile from the picturesque village of Hutton-le-Hole with its renowned Ryedale Folk Museum.

Both cottages are extremely comfortable and well-equipped - with tasteful decor, pretty fabrics and furnishings; each has fitted carpets throughout, full oil-fired central heating, woodburning stove, colour TV, DVD, video, CD player/radio, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave and payphone.

Field Barn Cottage has a lounge with exposed beams and stone walls, living flame gas stove, French windows and arrow windows giving panoramic views over valleys and woods. The large, tiled, fitted kitchen with stone-walled dining area is well equipped, and has French windows giving access to another patio area overlooking the farm, woods & open moorland. There are 2 bedrooms on the first floor (1 dbl, 1 twin), both with fitted vanity units, drawers, wardrobes and enclosed shelf space. Each has good views over open countryside. The bathroom has bath suite, washbasin, toilet and shower over bath.

Surprise View Cottage has two bedrooms (1 dbl, 1 twin) on the ground floor, bathroom with bath suite with toilet, washbasin & shower over bath. The first floor has a high-beamed lounge with log-burning stove set in a brick on stone wall, with spacious fitted kitchen & dining area; entry to this can also be by a separate outside stone stairway.

Nestled between the Yorkshire Wolds, the Vale of York and the Howardian Hills, Woodhouse Farm has a beautiful, peaceful countryside location with stunning views of the surrounding area. Next door is Howsham Wood, which is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), and part of the Howardian Hills AONB. The wood is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna including bluebells and primroses in the spring, and a growing community of deer. Our central location means we are an ideal base for exploring North Yorkshire, close to York (only 20 minutes drive away), and many other attractions including Castle Howard, Flamingoland, and the North Yorkshire Moors.

Apple Tree Cottage has been sympathetically converted and restored to a very high standard; all the stone, bricks, roof tiles and exposed beams and trusses used came from the original building itself to preserve the character of the cottage. Inside the living area is open plan to the ceiling showing the original roof trusses and beams. The kitchen is fully fitted and has all modern conveniences including dishwasher, oven with extractor fan, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave and washing machine (tumble drying facilities available), and has a reclaimed quarry tiled floor. The living/dining area is fully carpeted and centrally heated and also has a small real flame electric stove to give the appearance of a real fire. The window seat looks out over rolling farmland to the south, and has stunning views. For entertainment there is a widescreen digital TV, video, DVD player, books and games to suit all ages. There are 2 bedrooms, a downstairs double, and a twin room upstairs, which is galleried over the living area. The bathroom is downstairs, with both bath and shower facilities. The sofa converts into a large double bed, giving comfortable accommodation for up to 6 people. Outside there is an enclosed patio area to the rear, with outdoor furniture, barbeque and outdoor drying facilities. To the front the garden has a lawn, and both sides have wonderful views of the Yorkshire Wolds and our farm.

The cottage sits on the edge of open fields at the very edge the pretty market town of Pickering, gateway to the North Yorkshire Moors, for fantastic walking and cycling, and the beginning of the North Yorkshire steam railway. The area is full of fun things to enjoy and places to go. Scarborough , Whitby and the delightful Robin Hood’s Bay, on the east coast are about twenty miles away. The beautiful city of York , for a spot of culture and a helping of history is just thirty miles away.

Vivers Mill Cottage is a stone, Grade II listed building right on the edge of town, full of beams, nooks, fireplaces, antique furniture, romantic charm and intriguing collections. It is part of the historic Vivers Mill conservation area, and has two bedrooms to sleep up to seven people. With its own garden, it is also fully equipped, and includes open fire and dishwasher. Children welcome, but sorry, no smokers or pets.

Larger than other self catering holiday cottages within York city centre, Baille Hill House is a holiday house designed for mixed groups of families and friends, and is available to rent for holiday lets for up to 10 people. The holiday accommodation comprises 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, living room, brand new kitchen and dining area, large patio and balcony, with direct views of the city walls. Under previous ownership the house was graded 5 star by the tourist board and we have retained all the high quality furnishings, fittings and services, just as before. The beautifully restored period buildings stand around two courtyards in colourful, mature well maintained gardens where visitors can sit out. Pickering itself is right on the doorstep of the Yorkshire Moors and is a short drive from the Roman City of York and the beautiful port towns of Whitby and Scarborough.

All cottages feature wireless broadband access, cooking by electricity, washing machine/tumble dryer, dishwasher, fridge & freezer or fridge/freezer, high chair and gas fired central heating.
