The pretty village of Edgefield is approx. 3 miles from the beautiful Georgian town of Holt in stunning North Norfolk. Rurally located 'Redbricks' is about 6 miles from the coast and such charming seaside towns and villages as Cley-next-the-sea, Wells and Blakeney as well as the magnificent Holkham beach and ultra-fashionable Burnham Market. A birdwatcher, cyclist's, angler's and walker's paradise (with plenty of things for kids to do too!), North Norfolk also counts dozens of great pubs and top restaurants among its attractions.

Redbricks is one half of a converted former Victorian schoolhouse, which is beautifully furnished and has professionally designed interior features. The large open plan kitchen-diner is fully equipped, with wood burner, dishwasher, microwave, fridge, CD player / radio etc., while a utility room houses washing machine,tumble drier, freezer and butler sink. Larger than other self catering holiday cottages within York city centre, Baille Hill House is a holiday house designed for mixed groups of families and friends, and is available to rent for holiday lets for up to 10 people. The holiday accommodation comprises 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, living room, brand new kitchen and dining area, large patio and balcony, with direct views of the city walls. Under previous ownership the house was graded 5 star by the tourist board and we have retained all the high quality furnishings, fittings and services, just as before. Toad Hall is a spacious Grade II listed timber framed house, complete with Inglenook fireplace and a wealth of exposed timbers in its interior. Set in two acres of garden in the beautiful Suffolk countryside, it is within two hours drive from London, near the Heritage Coast and the ancient town of Woodbridge on the River Deben with its restaurants, pubs and antique shops. Horse riding is just along the lane and golf, fishing, sailing etc. are a short drive away.

Churchend House is a traditional 18th Century farmhouse set in the village of Slimbridge in Gloucestershire. It holds a prominent position within the village and is only 5 minutes from the world famous Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust reserve. Being close to the M5 and ideally located to explore the Cotswolds, this property is the perfect base for a larger family or group. It is also perfect for groups of Ornithologists visiting the Wildfowl Trust. From the village you can enjoy lovely walks along the canal, as well as enjoying boat trips which take you as far as the docks in Gloucester where there are lots of shops and cafes. There are 3 pub/restaurants within walking distance, all serving good food and beer, and there is also the superb facilities within the Wildfowl trust itself. The historic cities of Gloucester and Cheltenham are a short drive away, and of course you are in a great position to explore the Cotswolds, particularly the Stroud valleys.

This remote Victorian hunting lodge was originally designed for Victorian gentlemen and their servants to lodge whilst stalking on the remote hills of the Estate. Set in the atmospheric Glenuaig, valley of red deer and eagles, it is about one hour's drive due west of Inverness, followed by 30 minutes drive on a track (4x4 or hire of one essential) into the mountains, away from all civilization. In few places on earth will you feel so at peace with the natural world.

Hilton Farmhouse and holiday cottages are set in 25 rural acres with panoramic views of unspoilt countryside and the sea, in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Superbly positioned on the Devon and Cornwall borders, they are just 2 miles from sandy, surfing beaches and quiet coastal hamlets. The cottages and farmhouse share use of the superb outdoor heated swimming pool and jacuzzi, together with the kids activity area, BBQ / picnic area and, from June 2003, an all-weather tennis court.

The Farmhouse has five bedrooms (2 dbl ensuite, 1 dbl, 1 twin and 1 bunk bedded) plus a family bathroom to sleep up to 10 people. It has a large character lounge with slate floors and woodburner, dining room with farmhouse table to seat 12, and a fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher.

Set in 10 acres of private woodland grounds surrounding Darwin Lake, our cottages are named after historic halls, castles and stately homes in Derbyshire, all of which are open to the public. There are 16 cottages here at Darwin Lake, sleeping from four (also ideal for couples) to six/seven. Built in traditional stone, these superb cottages provide the perfect setting for a tranquil, relaxing holiday amidst an abundance of wildlife. The cottages are modern and spacious with an excellent standard of fixtures and fittings throughout and are ideal for either a quiet retreat or a family gathering. Many groups book 3 or 4 cottages for that special occasion.

These three delightful cottages are situated on a working farm above the beautiful, lush valley of Lamorna, which is steeped in history and renowned for its artists, and a mere twenty minutes stroll to the cove. Near Lands End, we are an ideal location for exploring the West Country, being close to the famous Minack Theatre, Penzance and St. Ives. There are many sandy beaches nearby and wonderful walking from the doorstep to coastal footpaths. There are shops 2.5 miles away, with a pub about 0.5 mile away.

The three cottages have been tastefully converted from granite barns, all furnished to a high standard of comfort, fully equipped, warm and very cosy. All have full central heating and electricity, colour TV, video, Hi-Fi, automatic washing machine, dishwasher, microwave oven, fridge / freezer, high chair, duvets with linen and towels, and ample parking. Hot tubs are an added luxury in Meadowside and Bew Cottage, whilst all three boast their own peaceful, secluded garden and furnished patio. Well behaved pets are welcome by prior arrangement.

Meadowside (sleeps 4) is a single storey barn converted to a high degree of luxury, with fully equipped kitchen / lounge area with with log burner and glorious rural views over the surrounding countryside. It has two bedrooms (large double with French doors to patio, one twin), elegant bathroom with bath and separate shower cubicle. Bew Cottage (sleeps 6) is a charming converted barn, ideal for that romantic break. It has a heavily beamed lounge with log burner, and rustic-style kitchen / dining-room with terracotta-tiled floor. French doors from both the kitchen and the lounge lead out onto the large patio. Upstairs there are three bedrooms - a double bedroom with four-poster bed and en-suite shower, a second double and a bunk-bedded room. The family bathroom has bath, wc, basin and shower cubicle. Tremornah Cottage (sleeps 6/11) is a spacious "upside-down" converted barn, very warm and homely, with farmhouse-style kitchen / dining-room with oil-fired Aga, large beamed living room with open fire and sofa bed upstairs, and three bedrooms downstairs - one large double with additional bunk-beds, one double with extra single bed and shower cubicle, and one twin-bedded room. Brook House Cottages lie in the delightful village of Bassenthwaite, nestling at the foot of Skiddaw. Our cottages lie in this idylic "sleepy hollow" beside a beautiful stream with ducks and a white wooden footbridge. Bassenthwaite Lake is a pleasant 2 miles walk away. The various sized 17th century properties have a homely atmosphere, are clean and well cared for and personally supervised.

The Nest (sleeps 2) is an interesting one bedroom stable conversion on ground level, full of character with many oak beams and a delightful view to the stream.

Brook House Studio (Sleeps 2/3) is a spacious open-plan apartment close to the farm, tastefully decorated with pine wood paneling.

Brook House 2 (sleeps 6/8) is a charming inviting spacious 17th Century cottage only a few yards from the stream with 3 bedrooms. Brook House 2 and Brook House Studio have a connecting door and can be let separately or all together to accommodate up to 11 people.

Brook House 1 (sleeps 9/10) is a delightful 4 bedroom 17C beamed cottage overlooking the stream with its own private walled cottage garden.

The house has stunning views across to Scolt Head island, and stands in over an acre of land which extends down to the salt marshes and harbour. No more than a few dozen houses, Applethwaite is the most sought-after village around Keswick, and it's not hard to see why. The village is a sleepy little hamlet, more reminiscent of Madeira than England, with hens, ducks, goats and sheep wandering over the lane. Our three warm cottages are comfortably furnished, including open fires, and have well equipped kitchens which include dishwasher, washing machine, drier and microwave.

Derwent Lea (sleeps 8) is surrounded by a lovely garden, in which children and pets can play in safety, and has lounge and dining rooms with wonderful views, kitchen, bathroom, downstairs wc and three big bedrooms - two doubles and a very big bedroom with two single beds and a set of full sized bunks.

Orchard House (sleeps 8) offers very gracious living, with a glorious 20 foot dining room with Victorian fireplace, cosy sitting room and lovely fitted kitchen / breakfast room including oil-fired Aga stove. There are four bedrooms (1 dbl, 3 twin), two bathrooms and a downstairs wc.

Orchard Barn (sleeps 10/12) is great for family get-togethers or for parties of walkers and friends! The heart of the accommodation is the superb lounge and separate kitchen and dining area, with patio windows looking out due South over the magnificent view. There are 6 bedrooms (2 dbl, 3 twin, 1 with children's bunks), a shower room and a very pleasant bathroom.

Set in 90 acres of pastureland and ancient woodlands with stunning views, Elmbury Cottage is a beautiful Cotswold Stone barn conversion located about 3 miles from Winchcombe - a fabulous location from which to enjoy the Cotswolds. On-site facilities include a tennis court, fishing lake, games room with a pool table and a party barn, The Havana Club. We also have a meeting room which can be used in boardroom or presentation format, suitable for seminars, small conferences, talk-ins, study groups or simply relaxing and enjoying the surroundings and being in the Cotswolds.

Elmbury Cottage is an Old Cotswold Stone Barn which has been beautifully converted to provide a light and airy holiday home, retaining many character features such as exposed beams and exposed stone walls, yet with modern conveniences such as central heating. The cottage is south facing and totally private, so guests can enjoy superb views of the fields and woodlands stretching uninterrupted to the top of the farm. There are four bedrooms (2 dbl, 2 twin) and three bathrooms; a further two bedrooms are available in the Craft Studio adjacent, to accommodate up to 12 people.

Knott View is set in a wonderful rural location in the Lake District National Park, just half a mile from the sea, and a mile and a half away from the village of Ravenglass - a Roman port and favoured destination of smugglers. An isolated beach cove at the end of the drive is the perfect place for a picnic and there are miles of country walks to be enjoyed direct from the door.

The centrally-heated accommodation comprises, on the ground floor, a large lounge with 3 sofas, TV, video and open fire, dining room with table and chairs seating 12, further small lounge, and well equipped kitchen with washing machine, dishwasher, cooker, microwave etc. The first floor has shower room with toilet and basin, and 2 twin / double bedrooms. There are 4 further bedrooms on the second floor (2 twins, 2 doubles with ensuite shower rooms), together with a separate toilet. Knott View accommodates 12 people, but for larger groups, it can be rented in conjunction with adjoining Newtown House, to sleep up to 20.

All guests receive free entry to nearby Muncaster, an Award Winning tourist attraction with 70 acres of gardens, the World Owl Centre and Meadowvole Maze, and discounted entry to the medieval Muncaster Castle, home of the Pennington family. Nearby, a miniature railway, 'L’al Ratty', travels through seven miles of beautiful countryside, ending its journey at the visitor centre in Eskdale at the foot of Scafell Pike, England’s highest mountain. Visitors looking for an action packed holiday can enjoy superb fell walking, dedicated cycle routes, horse riding, golf and fishing.
