Recently renovated to a high standard, this seaside cottage has a good sized garden and includes well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, washer/drier, microwave etc, living / dining room with colour TV and video, 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.

The Cottage

The house has a natural wood theme throughout, with the traditional pine ceiling boards complimenting the natural wood stairs. The décor is tastefully completed to reflect the original state of a farmhouse of its era.

Situated on the main route from Bantry to Castletown Bere the cottage has adequate parking facilities for 3 cars. The rear of the house, which includes a patio area overlooking scenic Bantry Bay is southerly facing. The patio is a suntrap throughout the day and has over a 180 degree view from it, perfect for a BBQ.

In detail, the cottage accomodation comprises:-
 
Ground Floor
 
  • Reception/sitting room: Large room with TV and open fire (fuel not supplied). Seating for approximately 7 adults.
  • Kitchen/Dining area: A very spacious but warm room with panoramic views of the harbour and distant mountains. Kitchen includes microwave, Dishwasher, Washing Machine, Tumble Drier and electric cooker. Large walk in airing cupboard under stairs plus additional storage for cases etc. Dining table will seat 6 adults comfortably.
  • Downstairs bedroom: A bright room, double bed with two bedside lockers and lamps. Large double wardrobe and vanity unit with drawers. Beautiful view of Bantry bay from Southerly facing window.
  • Downstairs WC and shower room: Pumped electric shower, tiled walls and floors.

The house is heated with oil-fired central heating, this is charged at an additional cost on vacating the house. ESB and Oil meter readings will be taken at the beginning and end of the rental period. All bed linen is supplied.
 
The Area

Pubs, shops and the post office are 1km, with the nearest large shopping centre only a half hour drive away. The house is adjacent to a small road that leads to the seaside, approximately ½ km.

We are only a two-hour drive from both Cork and Kerry airports. Beara is the ideal base for discovering the magnificent sights of West Cork and Co. Kerry.
