Fisherground is a children's Paradise, with a shallow raft pool in the orchard, and another at the Adventure Playground, a hundred yards away, where they can try the Tarzan Trail, swarm up the Scramble Net to the Pirate's Castle, or zoom down the Zipwire. Set amidst stunning scenery, our three pine lodges and Beckfoot Cottage share the acre of orchard with the ancient apple trees and the stream that opens out to the raft pool. The lodges and cottage share a laundry, games room and adventure playground.

Beckfoot Cottage faces south and has a lovely area to sit out and enjoy the sun, and with an open fire and electric panel heaters throughout it is warm and snug even in the depths of winter. It has a large living / dining room, opening off which is the kitchen area, fully fitted out with combination microwave, hob, dishwasher, fridge and all the usual utensils and crockery. There are two bedrooms, one double and one with a pair of single beds and a set of adult sized bunks. The bathroom has WC, washbasin and bath/shower.

Each of the lodges has a lovely big sitting room and dining area with colour TV, off which opens the kitchen, fully fitted with combination microwave oven, dishwasher, hob and fridge. There are three bedrooms, one with a double bed, one with twin beds and one with a set of adult sized bunks. The bathroom has WC, washbasin and bath/shower.

Nestling at the foot of the Pennines and enjoying uninterrupted views of the Lakeland Fells, Milburn Grange is an excellent base for walking, cycling, touring, or relaxing. In addition, within easy access there are coarse fishing lakes, 2 golf courses, and riding stables. Nearby, there are two pubs, both of which serve good food and welcome children and, within walking distance there is a village store/Post Office/garage.

Our seven self-contained cottages (some beamed) have been converted from redundant barns and are ideal for a break at any time of the year. They are centrally heated, comfortably furnished and each has a fitted, fully equipped kitchen (microwave, full-size cooker; fridge) and colour TV, two cottages have 4-poster beds and 2 have open fires. The three-bedroom cottages have a dishwasher and washing machine. Stable Cottage (2 bedrooms) also has a washing machine. In addition, there is a washing machine, tumble dryer, ironing board and irons in the communal laundry room.

The house retains many original features; with a pitch pine interior and 3 open fires to enjoy, as well as full central heating. There are two reception rooms downstairs, one with a television video and DVD, and the other with a piano for those who are musical. There is a well-equipped separate kitchen including electric oven, microwave, and dishwasher, while a utility / drying room houses a washing machine, dryer and freezer. The dining room has a large pine table with enough space to accommodate everyone. Upstairs, there are 4 bedrooms - 2 with double beds, 2 with either Super King size beds or 2 twin beds. The bathroom retains the original roll top bath, and there is also a separate shower room downstairs. There is plenty of private parking; you have your own enclosed garden. Overlooking the quiet, unspoilt Howgill Mountains, Fawcett Mill is hidden in its own tranquil valley, with a stream running from an adjacent waterfall through 7 acres of meadowland. Built in 1794 as the mill owners house, it is furnished in comfortable country style, with oak beams and open hearths throughout. It is equipped to a very high standard with full gas central heating and fitted carpets. Outside, as well as barbecue areas, there are extensive terraces and patios bordering the stream. Fawcett Mill is an idyllic gathering place for a large family or group of friends. It is perfect for reunions, get togethers, Christmas/New Year/Easter celebrations, Weekend Breaks or a relaxing break away from it all. Summer or winter the environment and scenery is stunning. 

The property has 3 double bedrooms, 3 twin bedrooms, 1 family bedroom (with twin beds and additional double bunkbed), 2 bathrooms, 2 shower rooms and 4 w.c.s. A double futon and double settee bed in the upper lounge (+cots) enable up to 20 people to be accommodated. There are 2 lounges, one on the ground floor with TV, video, radio and log fire, and the other on the first floor with TV, video and radio. The spacious dining / living room with Victorian range has dining table seating 16 people, and the two fully equipped kitchens include dishwasher, washing machine, drier, microwave, hob, oven, fridge, freezer and a gas-fired Rayburn cooker. Also on the ground floor are a 3-person sauna and sunbed.
