A very special place for the independent traveller looking for a slow holiday. Sleeps 4.

A tranquil south-facing stone cottage set amongst the stunning wooded mountains of the Montagne Thiernoise with beautiful views and a private garden ideal for children and dogs. Sleeps up to 4 and is available all year round. A pretty former forge, furnished and decorated to a high standard (an award of 3 stars pending), is situated close to the owners' house on the edge of a typical rural Auvergnat village, but is totally independent. The accommodation comprises one double and one twin-bedded room, a good-sized shower room with WC, a spacious lounge/diner with TV, DVD and CD/cassette player with a good selection of films and music and a fully-fitted and well-equipped American style kitchen. There is a wood-burner and, for extra comfort, each room has an electric radiator. At an altitude of 750 metres, the air is clear, the water untreated and the area rich in flora, fauna and birdlife which makes it ideal for those who want to "get away from it all" and enjoy the area's tranquility and unspoiled surroundings - ideal for exploring on foot or bicycle or just sitting and reflecting. You may also be asked to provide a deposit to cover against damages during your stay, which will normally be retained until after your departure and returned to you if no damages occurred.
