Just
refurbished to a high standard, the cottage retains many original
features. Oil fired central heating serves the house and there
are open fires in the lounge and dining room - logs and coal are
provided. A telephone is provided for incoming calls.

The
lounge overlooks the cottage garden and has comfortable chairs
and sofabed, a relaxing open fire, TV, CD Player and DVD player,
with a range of DVDs, CDs, books and games provided.
The
kitchen is comprehensively equipped with the usual appliances
including dishwasher. The original range still exists - try toasting
scones on the log fire.

The
cottage has two bedrooms - one double with wrought-iron bed, and
a twin which will also take a cot. Both bedrooms face south to
the garden and river, and bedlinen and towels are provided.
The south facing garden stretches forty metres to
the river - enjoy sitting at the garden table beside the river
watching the wild birds including pheasant which visit the garden,
or try your luck with a bit of fishing using the tackle provided.

Area |
Being
situated in Highland Perthshire, Kirkmichael provides the perfect
base from which to explore some of Scotland's most dramatic and
breathtaking landscapes. The attractive village is an ideal location
for those who enjoy both summer and winter activities.
The
award winning village shop is at the heart of the community, it
sells a wide variety of things, has a post office/ATM, petrol,
an internet terminal and coffee shop. Good food and refreshments
are available from three village inns - The Strathardle Inn, The
Log Cabin Hotel and The Kirkmichael Hotel.
The
area offers excellent fishing, walking, riding and golfing facilities.
Kirkmichael is also a perfect base for nearby Glenshee, home to
Scotland's premier skiing centre with a choice of quality ski
schools with BASI qualified instructors.
Pitlochry
with its famous fish ladder, distilleries and festival theatre
are close by. Nearby is Kirriemuir, birthplace of J.M.Barrie author
of Peter Pan, Blair Atholl and its fairy tale castle, Royal Deeside,
Braemar Castle, Balmoral and Crathie Church where the Royal family
attend church each year.
