LE TILLEUL, Paizay le Tort, Melle, Poitou Charentes 
Two detached 18th century gites set in peaceful village in charming river valley, with swimming pool and games room, sleep 5/4.
Le Tilleul is set within the peaceful village of Paizay le Tort, a charming river valley encompassed by three chateaux surrounded by sunflowers in the Poitou Charentes region, 5km from the Romanesque market town of Melle. The River Berlande meanders through the village, and pleasant walks, rambles or bicycle rides can be found from this most typical French village, which has a Roman church, tennis courts and obstacle course only a short stroll away. Known for its micro-climate, the region is the second sunniest region in France, with Poitiers airport 45 minutes and La Rochelle a little further.
La Boheme (sleeps 5) with charming vine covered patio, arranged on ground floor, with exposed beams, tiled and parquet floors throughout. The large equipped detached gite includes cooker, fridge, microwave etc, with a separate utility housing washing machine, tumble dryer and second w.c. The living area is provided with colour sat t.v, d.v.d, c.d. player and wood burner. Two bedrooms, a double with French doors leading to the patio, while the second can accommodate three single beds, large shower room with washbasin, w.c. shaver point.
Les Hirondelles (sleeps 4) a detached very spacious 18th century barn conversion. Large equipped fitted oak kitchen, dining room and lounge with woodburner. Beautiful ash staircase. Exposed oak beams, stone and parquet throughout, colour sat t.v, d.v.d and c.d player. Two large bedrooms both with either shower or bathroom ensuite. Private garden of walnut and fig trees. Nearby orchard with plums, apples, nectarines.
