Holt is a small, award winning country town serving the surrounding villages. There are ample pubs, restaurants and surprisingly stylish shops abound. Holt is only 4 miles from the coast at Cley-Next-The-Sea and Blakeney with the seaside resorts of Sheringham and Cromer less than 10 miles away. It is ideally situated for walking, bird watching, horse riding or sightseeing. You can take the ‘Holt Flyer' - the Routemaster double-decker bus that carries you to the station to catch the steam train across the heath and coast to Sheringham. Alternatively, take a boat trip to see the seals at Blakeney. Don't forget to buy some mussels or crab for your tea!

Jim's Cottage is situated in a quiet cul-de sac adjacent to the Holt Country Park and a short walk to the centre of the town. It is a traditional, mid-Victorian, brick and flint workman's cottage and retains much of its original charm with lumpy plaster, stripped wooden doors, oak floors, open fireplace and steep stairs. However, it has a fully fitted kitchen, bathroom and gas central heating. Jim's cottage sleeps 4 in a double and a twin room. The excellent, safe garden makes it an ideal cottage for families, and both children and smokers are accepted, but sorry, no pets. Short Breaks available between November and April.
