There are traditional English Maypoles at Temple Sowerby and the nearby village of Milburn. Hadrian's Wall and Carlisle are a short drive away. If you would like to do some shopping Newcastle and the Metro Centre are about one hours drive away.

Our ground floor, self catering studio apartment is comfortably furnished and well equipped, overlooking a quiet stream at the bottom of the garden with views across the open countryside. It is the perfect place to enjoy the sunshine, have an evening barbecue and just relax. The apartment has recently been refurbished and extended in a restful style and provides most modern comforts including central heating, lighting, colour TV, fridge freezer, microwave, electric oven, bed linen and towels. The ground floor apartment consists of an open lounge, kitchen and dining area, en-suite double bedroom with shower room, toilet and hand basin. We would ask you not to smoke inside the apartment but have no objections to you smoking outside. You can bring up to two pets and there is off road parking for 1 car.
