A walk across the fields takes you to The Herdwick Inn, serving good food and excellent real ale, or within a short drive, the Michelin-starred Sharrow Bay on Lake Ullswater. For the active, there is a wealth of activities in the local area, including rock-climbing, sailing, motor-boats, fell-walking, 4 x 4 and Quadbikes, mountain-bikes, canoeing and horse-riding. Or if you're feeling less energetic, just enjoy a stroll round Ullswater, The Eden Valley and the quiet villages all around.
Low Todrigg is an ancient Cumbrian long house dating from Norse times, which has been recently converted to create this comfortable cottage, with beams and log fire, and with stunning views of the Fells and Pennines. It provides safe and tranquil accommodation for two or more people, and comprises lounge / dining room with TV and video player, stereo, large dining table, 2 settees (one of which is a sofabed) and log fire, and a fully equipped kitchen with gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher, microwave and fridge. There is a downstairs shower room and separate wc. Upstairs is the large bedroom which has a double bed and a comfortable bed settee. The patio and garden and the easy access to all the facilities and delights of the English Lakes ensure a memorable and relaxing holiday amidst the finest scenery in the country.
