Beautifully converted traditional Derbyshire Stone Long House, offering high quality, pet-friendly accommodation - ideal for large groups - together with stabling for horses, sleeps 6-16.
The Holmes Barn is set in approximately 10 acres of its own grounds near Buxton, Derbyshire in the heart of the Peak District National Park - conveniently located to enable guests to visit many of Derbyshire's attractions including Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Bakewell, Castleton with its many caves and much, much more. The nearest villages of Tideswell and Bradwell are approx 10 mins drive away and offer all facilities and many public houses for dining out opportunities. The market town of Chesterfield and the city of Sheffield are also within an hours drive.
The Barn has been completely redeveloped to the highest standard and specification to assure the maximum comfort for guests throughout their stay. The accommodation comprises a large ground floor open plan design lounge with colour TV with DVD/video, downstairs cloakroom, dining area and fully equipped kitchen with range cooker, fridge, freezer and microwave oven; a separate drying room is available with washing machine and tumble dryer. Upstairs are 4 bedrooms to accommodate up to 15/16 people, with two “Jack & Jill” bathrooms.
If you wish to bring your horse on holiday, The Holmes Barn offers excellent accommodation for your equine friends, and we can provide full or part livery if required. We are situated in an ideal location for you to explore the Pennine Bridleway and there is also a wide variety of scenic trails for you and your horse to enjoy. Also available within easy travelling distance are fishing, golf, climbing, and gliding facilities. There are also many miles of walking and cycling trails for both the novice and experienced rider.
