Set in 10 acres of private woodland grounds surrounding Darwin Lake, our cottages are named after historic halls, castles and stately homes in Derbyshire, all of which are open to the public. There are 16 cottages here at Darwin Lake, sleeping from four (also ideal for couples) to six/seven. Built in traditional stone, these superb cottages provide the perfect setting for a tranquil, relaxing holiday amidst an abundance of wildlife. The cottages are modern and spacious with an excellent standard of fixtures and fittings throughout and are ideal for either a quiet retreat or a family gathering. Many groups book 3 or 4 cottages for that special occasion.

We have five two-bedroomed cottages, with Open plan Living/Dining Rooms, Modern fully fitted kitchen areas with tiled floor and Separate WC on the ground floor, and 1 Double Bedroom with ensuite Shower Room/WC, 1 Twin Bedded Room and Separate Bathroom/WC with shower attachment on the first floor. All have Fridge/Freezers, Washer Dryers and Microwaves.

There are ten three-bedroomed cottages, each with Entrance Hall, Spacious Living Room and Modern fully fitted Kitchen/Dining Room with dishwasher, fridge and washer-dryer; some have downstairs Cloakroom/WC. All have 2 Double Ensuite Bedrooms, 1 Twin Bedroom and a Separate Bathroom, except Haddon, which has 1 Double, 1 Twin and 1 Bunk Bedded Room, all Ensuite.

There is one 4-bedroom cottage, Hassop, to sleep up to 8 people.
