Situated on Whinlatter Pass, Darling How is a large Georgian farmhouse with fantastic views of the Lakeland fells and hundreds of walks and forest bike trails right from the front door. The house has recently been renovated to accommodate up to ten people and is an ideal place for large family gatherings and celebrations.
Whinlatter is a great starting point for hundreds of walks, either through the forest, up the fells or along the lakeshore paths of Crummock Water, Buttermere and Loweswater. The visitor centre at Whinlatter is a couple of miles away and has café, bike hire and high ropes course (Go Ape), as well as a live video camera in the Osprey nest (May-August). Keswick is just 15 minutes drive away with its bustling town centre, boating on the lake and outdoor activities.
Situated all on one level, Darling How has five bedrooms (one ensuite) and two further bathrooms (one with shower, one with bath and separate shower).
The sitting room is spacious with comfortable seating, widescreen TV with DVD player and a wood burning stove.
The kitchen is large and has dining for ten. It is fully equipped with a large range cooker, fridge, dishwasher, microwave and plenty of storage space. There is a laundry room situated in one of the barns outside with washing machine, tumble drier, iron and ironing board.
French windows in the kitchen lead to a patio and garden which is fully enclosed and has fantastic views of the surrounding fells.
