Mains of Taymouth Country Estate is in magnificent Highland Perthshire by the village of Kenmore amidst the finest scenery Scotland has to offer. We are surrounded with beautiful scenery, lovely walks and good fishing. Mains of Taymouth Golf Course (formerly Kenmore Golf Course) is on site with free winter golf for all our guests staying with us from 1st November to 31st March and discounted rates for the rest of the year. Mains of Taymouth Stables are also on site offering you the chance to experience riding in beautiful countryside on forest and riverside tracks. Activities abound from bunjee jumping, water sports and mountain biking to the award winning Highland Adventure Safaris.


We have something to suit everyone - 7 traditional cottages, 10 upside down villas, 3 gorgeous houses and 8 spacious apartments and 10 1 & 2 bedroom villas all based on our own 160 acre private estate. We can offer from a cosy 2 bedroom cottage to an extensive delux 5 bedroom house with ensuite facilities and games room, large garden with hot tub and sauna. All the properties have been tastefully modernised with full central heating, open fires (in many), dishwashers and all other mod cons you would possibly need. We have our very own Courtyard Bar & Restaurant and Delicatessen Shop on site so there is no need to venture far for good food or unique shopping. The properties are in a quiet, private setting with easy access to the golf course, stables, shop and restaurant and everything else the area has to offer.

Many of our houses have private hot tubsm saunas and games rooms.
1 dog is welcome in many of our houses at a daily charge of £5, by prior permission only, house rules apply.

We are centrally based making us the perfect base for touring the whole of Scotland, although you do not need to go far to experience the best Scotland has to offer. We have many top tourist attractions within easy reach of Kenmore and are surrounded by natural beauty.
On site you can experiecne first hand Scotlands finest sport, golf. Our own 9 hole golf course is a 'must do' during your stay and we offer our guests a discounted rate. You can also hire clubs so no need to bring your own. Our trekking stables are the best in the area with horses of all shapes and sizes, something to suit everyone. Children from the age of 4 years can ride with us and every ride is headed with professional, experienced and friendly staff.
Kenmore is surrounded with walks of all levels, from an easy river stroll to a more energetic Munro. In the village of Kenmroe you can hire mountain bikes, canoes, kayak and even take a motorised boat for a spin on the dramatic Loch Tay. Both the River and Loch Tay are famous for the excellent fishing it has to offer, offering both trout or salmon.
Kenmore is just the most beautiful part of Scotland and is well worth a visit.
