The light and airy rooms are all very spacious and the property has the added advantage of an attractive enclosed garden and private parking. In a quiet residential area, the property is a short walk into the village across the cricket ground and past the historic ruins of Warkworth Castle.

The Accommodation

The cottage is situated in a quiet residential area, about 1/2 mile from the village centre, and 1 mile from the beach.

The accommodation is all on one level, and comprises:-

  • Hallway.
  • Open plan living room with colour TV/Freeview/DVD. Doors to garden.
  • Kitchen/dining area with ceramic hob, electric oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer, wine cooler.

  • Bedroom 1 - double bed.
  • Bedroom 2 - King size double bed.

Outside, there is an enclosed lawned garden with furniture, and Private parking is provided on the drive.

The cottage has gas central heating throughout, and all Power & Heating is included in the rent.

  

The Area

The ancient village of Warkworth is an ideal location to discover the beautiful county of Northumberland. The castle dominates the surrounding skyline and is the best example of a Norman Castle in Northumberland. A short ferry ride up the river will bring you to the hermitage where it is thought a knight spent his life in solitude after accidently killing his brother.

Today Warkworth is a vibrant charming village with several pubs and restaurants to meet all tastes

For the more adventurous there is plenty on offer, walking, cycling, golf, horse riding are all on our doorstep. Take a boat trip around Coquet Island to see the puffins, terns, ducks and seals. Warkworth beach is situated on the Northumberland Heritage Coast. The beach itself has miles of golden sweeping sands backed by sand dunes, providing the perfect environment for families and coastal walks.

The historic town of Alnwick is not far with its famous gardens and castle made famous by Harry Potter films which are definately worth a visit.
