Self Catered Ski Chalet Morzine

A Self Catered Ski Chalet will be for sole occupancy of the chalet, whereas a catered ski chalet will generally involve mixed groups, although sole occupancy will generally also be possible when filling the maximum capacity of the chalet. .

£1200 - £1900

St. Jean d'Aulps (810m) is a small mountain village surrounded by beautiful scenery, with its own ski station known as 'La Grande Terche', which is only 5 minutes from the chalet. The local ski area is linked to Bellevaux which covers 21 miles, with 16 pistes ranging from 900m to 1800m - ideal for beginners, cross country skiing and snowshoeing. If you really want more, then it is only 10 minute drive to the Morzine/Avoriaz sking areas, linking into 650kms of the massive and fabulous Portes du Soleil ski area.

This luxury self catering chalet has been built to an extremely high standard, and is very well equipped inside and out. On the ground floor is the large contemporary lounge with comfy sofas, open log fire, widescreen TV, Sky and international satellites, DVD(hd) recorder, HI-FI, video, P.C. with 24 hr ADSL/WI-FI Internet access and four French doors leading onto the extra large balcony. The fully equipped modern kitchen has touch sensitive ceramic hob, oven/grill, dishwasher, microwave oven, fridge/freezer & all utensils. The open plan dining area has large table and six chairs (childrens high chair on request), and French doors opening out onto the balcony with wonderful views over St. Jean d'Aulps village. There are three bedrooms on the first floor - two large doubles with Super King size beds, and a twin with 2 single beds; all bedrooms have built in wardrobes and French doors opening out onto balconies. The large tiled family bathroom has towel wall heater, vanity unit, walk in shower, jacuzzi bath, bidet and wc. Please note - the chalet is self catering, non smoking and pets are not permitted.

Traditional Savoyard chalet/farmhouse dating from 1847 which has been restored and modern amenities installed whilst keeping its character intact. It is situated at an altutude of 800 meters in a tranquil and charming Alpine hamlet midway between Morzine and Thonon-les Bains. From its windows there are panoramic views across to Mount Hermone and as far as the Swiss Jura.

The living area is on three floors and represents as much as 100 square meters of space. The most important room is the large kitchen/lounge on the second floor with original beams, pine-parquet floor, wooden ceilings, white walls and a cosy wood-burning stove. A French window opens onto a balcony for meals outside and sunbathing. The five bedrooms consist of three doubles, a twin and a single. The bathroom contains a bath, shower, washbasin and WC. There is also a shower room with washbasin and WC. Cars can be parked in the small square below the house.

Positioned at the junction of the Morzine and Abondance valleys, this chalet makes a good base from which to access the ski slopes of these two valleys. It should appeal to those who want to enjoy good skiing, but also avoid the high costs and often cramped living conditions provided in the centre of ski resorts.

£500 - £1250

Part of the Portes du Soleil, the largest ski area in France with access to some 650km of marked ski runs, Morzine is not just a ski resort but a living, well established town with a long history. The town has an year round community and there is a wide choice of clubs, bars and restaurants. Local dining specialities include tartiflette, raclette and pierrade. There is a full selection of shops (and supermarkets). The local cheeses, wines, salamis and patisseries are delicious.

Situated in the prestigious and beautiful Vallee de la Manche area of Morzine, the chalet is 15 minutes walk from the Nyon lift and free skibus stop. It has an open plan living area comprising lounge with open fire, fully equipped kitchen including microwave, dishwasher etc, and dining area. On the ground floor there are also a washer and a tumble drier, together with space to store skis and boots. There are four bedrooms and two bathrooms to accommodate from 7 to 10 people. Underneath the chalet there is a garage for one car and space outside the chalet for 2 more cars.

£600 - £1600

Just five miles from the centre of Morzine, Chalet Juniper is ideally situated to ski and explore the entire Portes du Soleil area. During the winter months enjoy skiing on the un-crowded slopes of La Grande Terche, take the Ardent lift direct to Avoriaz with easy access to Chatel and the Swiss resorts, such as Morgins. Or simply drive or take the free bus into Morzine to enjoy the resorts of Morzine and Les Gets.

The chalet has four bedrooms. Two rooms are fitted with double beds; the third has twin single beds. The family room has a double bed with a single bunk above; there is also a set of bunk beds in this room so it can sleep up to five people. The master bedroom has a large en-suite bathroom. The second double bedroom, situated on the ground floor, has a en-suite shower room. There is a shower room and separate toilet upstairs; there is also a separate toilet on the ground floor. The main living area in the chalet has a large reclaimed pine dining table that can easily accommodate 10, along with comfortable leather sofas, reclaimed pine furniture and the latest entertainment system comprising of plasma TV, Sony Playstation, DVD player and stereo system. The chalet also benefits from Sky TV showing the complete range of UK TV and children’s programmes along with free wireless Internet access. After a hard days skiing, boarding or even walking in the summer relax in the luxury Swedish sauna.
