This delightful character cottage is located in the very heart of Bourton on the Water and incorporates a wealth of beams, exposed stone and timbers. All of the rooms are generously proportioned and luxuriously furnished, with the majority having stone mullion leaded windows. Situated in the heart of the Cotswolds, the cottage is in an ideal location for exploring the area.

The Cottage

The entrance hall leads through to a large kitchen / breakfast room, with stone mullion windows, terracotta tiled floor, exposed stone and beams, fitted units and seating for four. The kitchen is fully equipped with cooker, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.
This in turn leads through to both the lounge and conservatory.
The latter features a large Oak table which seats 6 and is surrounded by exposed stone and timber, which overlooks the south facing garden. The lounge has a delightful stone fireplace with timber lintel and Cotswold stone tiled canopy over a gas living flame fire basket, surrounded by oak furniture and leather sofas.
The first floor consists of two large bedrooms, one double and one twin. The double bedroom has a dual aspect, and contains a range of traditional oak furniture, a brass double bed along with a tv. The twin bedroom has fitted wardrobes and a vanity unit with basin. The second floor contains another twin bedroom, with exposed beams and stone mullion windows. There is also a family bathroom which has exposed beams and stone, and there is a shower over the bath.

The cottage has central heating, TV, video, radio, CD system, board games, DVD and a small library of books and videos.

Outside there is a small south facing back garden with Cotswold stone walls and shrub flower beds. There is also a detached garage and off street parking for one car.

The Area

Situated in the heart of the Cotswolds, the cottage is in an ideal location for exploring the area. The Cotswolds region of outstanding beauty is a paradise of rural tranquility and offers many activities including walking and hiking, cycling, horse riding, golf, motor sport, gliding, ballooning, fishing or just ambling around and through the many beautiful villages.

Among the local attractions are:

• Birdland - an authentic zoo for birds, with a remarkable collection of penguins, some of which have come from the owner's islands in the South Atlantic.

• Model Village - Excellent miniature of Bourton using authentic building materials.

Other attractions include a perfume factory and model railway exibition.
