Our apartment is located in Morzine, 1km from the town centre and 10 metres from the Telepherique de Nyon. Use of this Telepherique avoids queues in Morzine and allows access to the slopes of Nyon, Chamossierre, Le Pleney and Les Gets which have runs for all abilities. Avoriaz, and the rest of the Portes de Soleil ski area, can be reached via the Super Morzine gondola or the Les Prodains cable car, both accessible by free ski bus which stops outside the apartment and also provides a regular free service to the centre of Morzine. At the end of a day on the Nyon slopes you can ski out to within 100 metres of the apartment.

Sleeping 4–6 comfortably, the apartment has two bedrooms, one with a double bed the other with full-size bunk beds and, in the mezzanine above, a further mattress and base. There is a bath with shower over, a basin and washing–machine in the bathroom and the toilet is separate. Apartment Emma has recently been entirely refitted with brand new furniture and redecorated in attractive pastel colours, and great attention to detail has been paid by the owners in order to make it a comfortable holiday apartment for both winter skiing and summer holidays. There is a boulangerie about 150m from the apartment, and a parking space for one car.

The apartment was built in the 1970's and therefore has enormous windows and plenty of light. The refitted kitchen has washer / dryer, electric oven with 4 rings and grill, dishwasher, fridge / freezer, microwave, kettle & toaster. Opposite the kitchen is the living / dining room, with a beech-effect dining table with 6 chairs, 2 black leather sofas, a coffee table, a TV and video, and stereo; double doors lead out onto the front balcony, which has balcony furniture. Traditional Savoyard chalet/farmhouse dating from 1847 which has been restored and modern amenities installed whilst keeping its character intact. It is situated at an altutude of 800 meters in a tranquil and charming Alpine hamlet midway between Morzine and Thonon-les Bains. From its windows there are panoramic views across to Mount Hermone and as far as the Swiss Jura.

The living area is on three floors and represents as much as 100 square meters of space. The most important room is the large kitchen/lounge on the second floor with original beams, pine-parquet floor, wooden ceilings, white walls and a cosy wood-burning stove. The chalet is situated in the small hamlet of Prodains - an ideal location, just 200m from the Prodains Telecabine which takes you quickly up to Avoriaz.
