The chalet is 100 metres from the ski bus stop and 1 km from the Morillon télécabine with a large free car park, connecting easily into the vast Grand Massif ski circuit with 265km of pistes. The ski lift is a 15 minute walk in ordinary shoes and 20 minutes in ski boots.

There is excellent skiing on the north facing slopes above Morillon. There are a variety of runs through the trees with mountain cafés. Marvel is a long green/blue run sheltered by the trees from the top of the Morillon slopes to Morillon Les Esserts. There is also an excellent run back to the village. There is reliable snowfall in the winter because of the Mont Blanc effect.

Traditional Savoyard chalet/farmhouse dating from 1847 which has been restored and modern amenities installed whilst keeping its character intact. It is situated at an altutude of 800 meters in a tranquil and charming Alpine hamlet midway between Morzine and Thonon-les Bains. From its windows there are panoramic views across to Mount Hermone and as far as the Swiss Jura.

The living area is on three floors and represents as much as 100 square meters of space. The most important room is the large kitchen/lounge on the second floor with original beams, pine-parquet floor, wooden ceilings, white walls and a cosy wood-burning stove. A French window opens onto a balcony for meals outside and sunbathing. The five bedrooms consist of three doubles, a twin and a single. The bathroom contains a bath, shower, washbasin and WC. There is also a shower room with washbasin and WC. Cars can be parked in the small square below the house.

Positioned at the junction of the Morzine and Abondance valleys, this chalet makes a good base from which to access the ski slopes of these two valleys. It should appeal to those who want to enjoy good skiing, but also avoid the high costs and often cramped living conditions provided in the centre of ski resorts.

Built in 2005, Chalet Papillon is set in a small cluster of properties, in an enviable position above the historic village of Samoens. It offers the ideal location to get away from it all, yet is conveniently located, with Samoens and all it's amenities, a 15 minute walk or 2 minute drive away. The ski lift is 2km away. The chalet is available on a self catered basis, although we are able to offer flexible catering at this property.

The chalet is truly impressive, with high ceilings, exposed beams and quality throughout. The living area is extremely large, with stunning views through the floor to ceiling windows, across much of the living area. The log burning fire, for those cosy nights in, is surrounded by deep and comfy leather sofas. There is a large Plasma Satellite TV with DVD player and stereo. Situated off the living room is the spacious dining area, very comfortable for 9 people around the lovely wooden table with leather chairs. The open plan kitchen is fully equipped with microwave, full size oven and ceramic hob, dishwasher and ample workspace. A large south facing balcony offers ample space for relaxing and outside dining. There is also a large hot tub for those bubbly nights in!

The 4 bedrooms are on the first floor, 2 of which are double ensuite with large power showers, wc's and sinks, with sunny balconies off each. There is a twin bedroom and the fourth bedroom has a set of full size bunk beds and a pull out bed. A further family bathroom with full size bath and integrated shower, sink and wc is also on this level, as well as another wc. The ground floor of the chalet has a fantastic games room, offering full size table tennis and air hockey. The chalet benefits from underfloor heating, it's own double garage, ski and boot room and ample storage for equipment and bikes.

Part of the Portes du Soleil, the largest ski area in France with access to some 650km of marked ski runs, Morzine is not just a ski resort but a living, well established town with a long history. The town has an year round community and there is a wide choice of clubs, bars and restaurants. Local dining specialities include tartiflette, raclette and pierrade. There is a full selection of shops (and supermarkets). The local cheeses, wines, salamis and patisseries are delicious.

Directly at the foot of Mont Blanc, Chalet Le Bois Rond is a beautiful spacious chalet set in its own secluded gardens with incredible views in all directions, including a panorama of the town of Chamonix nestled in the valley below.

One of the loveliest villages in the French Alps, Samoens is the only one to be listed as a "Monument Historique", with a genuine Alpine feel. Chalet Olga is situated about 1.5 km from the centre of the village, from which a new rapid cable car takes you to the top of the mountain and the 265 linked ski pistes of Flaine and Les Carroz in Le Grand Massif. We provide daily transport to the village / cable car for guests without their own vehicles.

The chalet sleeps between 8 and 12, in four bedrooms all with ensuite facilities. Bunk beds for children are located on the upper landing and cots are available on request. The historic village of Samoens is a wonderful ski destination - only 50 minutes by car from Geneva airport (maximising skiing time!), as well as being a traditionally French village, with a beautiful mediaeval church and square. It's not just a holiday resort - it has a life of its own. There is every opportunity to sample the local food and wine in the many restaurants. Or you can buy produce in the local market and try your own hand at serving up Savoyard - fondues and racelettes, for example. The skiing too, is very good. Samoens is part of the large Grand Massif ski area Flaine, Morillon and Les Carroz are the linked resorts. But, as if that were not enough, Les Gets and the Portes de Soleil are only a twenty-five minute drive away.

We liked the skiing in Samoens so much that we bought a piece of ground there and built Chalet Teresa. Opened for ski season 2005-6 this is a luxury chalet, with 5 bedrooms to sleep up to 14.
