Facing open farm land Sunny Cottage is at the end of a small terrace of cottages, in a perfect area for walking, with walks along the banks of the river Blyth to nearby Walberswick, and a ferryman will row you across the river to Southwold, or you can cross by the old Bailey bridge. Caught in a gentle time warp Southwold gently refuses to be commercialised and with its high street of small shops and galleries is still one of East Anglia’s best kept secrets. Downstairs, the cottage has a large fully-equipped kitchen, separate dining room, lounge with log fire and T.V, and a bathroom with hip bath/shower and toilet. Steep cottage stairs lead to landing bedroom with twin beds, leading to the main bedroom with a four poster bed. The cottage is double glazed and there is oil fired central heating for the cooler seasons. Sunny cottage has a small enclosed garden and off road parking. |

Small period cottage on the outskirts of Halesworth, a 15th century market town in Suffolk. Set in a peaceful location, the cottage is beautifully restored and decorated to a high standard. One double bedroom and one small bunk room (suitable for two children under 12), pretty bathroom, well equipped kitchen, and comfortable sitting room, with central heating throughout. There is a small patio with garden furniture. Halesworth is a small, thriving, market town, with shops, a library, open-air swimming pool, and golf course. It is within easy reach of Southwold (7 miles), Walberswick, and the beautiful unspoilt coast, popular with bird-watchers (Minsmere is nearby) and walkers. Children welcome, but sorry, no smokers or pets. |

Blythburgh Church, commonly known as the Cathedral of the Marshes and the
superb White Hart Inn with its fine Adnams ales. The Saltings area of the
Suffolk Coast are perfect for walking and bird watching both along the
estuary of the river Blyth which separates the salty village of
Walberswick and the Georgian splendour of Southwold, one of Eastern
England's best kept secrets. Slightly further a field the lost city of
Dunwich, the RSPB's Minsmere and Aldeburgh are in cycle range.
Entrance to this period cottage is via a large sun-lounge / dining-room overlooking the secluded patio-garden. Low ceilings are a feature (not) to be missed in the fully-equipped kitchen, lounge with log fire and Sky-TV. Steep cottage stairs lead to landing bedroom with twin beds, leading to the pretty main double bedroom overlooking open fields. beautiful, spacious Georgian house is perfect for holidays / weekends with
friends and family. It is situated in the centre of Aldeburgh, on the heritage coastline of Suffolk. The house is surrounded
by it’s own private walled gardens but is only a short walk from the
shops (100m), beach (50m), excellent restaurants, tennis courts, yacht and
golf clubs.
This comfortable house consists of an elegant (24' x 19') south-facing drawing room with an open fireplace, study / TV room (also with open fire), large dining room and large fully fitted kitchen including dishwasher and breakfast table. On the first floor, there are three very large south-facing bedrooms plus a smaller double. The master bedroom has a king-size bed and en-suite bathroom. There are three further double rooms one with a king-size bed, one with standard double and one with twin beds: these bedrooms share two further bathrooms. On the top floor, there are two sunny twin bedrooms, a kitchen/dining area and a 4th bathroom. There is also a single bedroom on the ground floor for someone who may not care to climb the stairs. The house therefore sleeps 11/12 people in comfort. |
