Overview of Cottage Accommodation Whitbeck Cottage, Garsdale, Sedbergh, Cumbria, Lake District

This lovely two bedroomed, stone-built cottage is located in Garsdale, near the pretty market town of Sedbergh, set in the base of the Howgill fells. Ideally sited for a restful break, Whitbeck Cottage also caters for the more energetic, with the Howgill fells but a stones throw away. Nearby Hawes, Dent, Ingleton and Semerwater offer plenty for the visitor, and the attractions of the Lake District are within easy reach.

The front door opens into the comfortable, light living room with Stereo TV, DVD, playstation and coal effect electric fire set on a stone hearth. Stairs lead off through a door to the upper floor, whilst the other door leads to the kitchen / dining room - another bright and airy room with new pine fittings, fully equipped including washing machine, microwave etc. The cottage has one large double bedroom with a view to the front and a further bedroom with window seat and views to the river; this room has sleeping accommodation for up to two. Finally, the bathroom has a three piece suite and shower over bath. Outside, there is a small gated front garden, shared grassed rear garden and parking, and the River Clough runs through the field behind, offering the opportunity for paddling or fishing as the mood takes. The cottage is available for short breaks (off peak) or weekly lets throughout the year, and well behaved pets are welcome by prior arrangement (additional charge).

On behalf of my family we would like to thank you for your hospitality. The cottage was absolutely stunning, better than the website. The location was ideal for our needs. The cottage was lovely and neat. Everything was in order for our arrival and functioned effectively while we were there. I thank you again.

SUPERB!! Most relaxing holiday we have ever had. Lovely walks. Really enjoyed watching the wildlife in the tree outside the kitchen window. We saw Great and Blue tits, Chaffinch, two different woodpeckers and a red squirrel. Thankyou for providing a real home from home.
PS Children really liked the horses and the river.

Had a wonderful week here. The cottage is perfect and beautifully located. We were really lucky with the weather and even managed to have a couple of barbecues! Many thanks and we hope to return next year.

Had a lovely holiday! It really is a lovely cottage to have as a base. Found the river not easy to get down to with a dog, but once you 're there it's well worth it! Fossils can be found on the rocky beaches and some wonderful little waterfalls and rock formations. This place is also dog-friendly and they really are pleased to see you! I think we will be back!
