Paddock House Farm Holiday Cottages are set in the glorious surroundings of the Peak District National Park in Derbyshire and are not only a wonderful place to stay in their own right but are set a stone’s throw from a whole range of fabulous places to visit. The Holiday Cottages are elegant conversions from old farm buildings and offer a range of different accommodation, depending on how many are in your party – we have something to suit groups of 2 right up to 10 in one Holiday Cottage or up to 40 in all 6 Holiday Cottages. If you want a romantic getaway for two we can offer Elm Holiday Cottage, with a fabulous four poster double bed. We don’t think pets should be excluded either – well-behaved ones are more than welcome at Paddock House Farm Holiday Cottages.
The Area: Paddock House Farm Holiday Cottages, Alstonefield, Ashbourne, Derbyshire, Peak District
If you can tear yourself away from the lovely setting of Paddock House Farm Holiday Cottages and go out and about from your holiday cottage, the Peak District National Park awaits you. Along with spectacular walks, there are lovely little villages to explore as well as the spa towns of Matlock and Buxton and the pretty little town of Ashbourne, known with good reason as the Gateway to the Peak District and marks the start of the Tissington Trail. If you enjoy stately homes you will be in heaven, with Haddon Hall and the stately Chatsworth House nearby. Film fans will recognize Chatsworth as Pemberley in the 2005 adaptation of Pride and Prejudice but even without that moment of fame, it is a spectacular house that takes several days to explore completely. For the more adventurous, it would be a shame to be staying in a Derbyshire holiday cottage and not visit Alton Towers for some of the best white-knuckle rides in the world.
