Overview of Cottage Accommodation Jim's Cottage, Holt, North Norfolk

Holt is a small, award winning country town serving the surrounding villages. There are ample pubs, restaurants and surprisingly stylish shops abound. Holt is only 4 miles from the coast at Cley-Next-The-Sea and Blakeney with the seaside resorts of Sheringham and Cromer less than 10 miles away. It is ideally situated for walking, bird watching, horse riding or sightseeing. You can take the steam train across the heath and coast to Sheringham. Alternatively, take a boat trip to see the seals at Blakeney. Donít forget to buy some mussels or crab for your tea!

Jimís Cottage is our second home and a popular holiday home, with many regular guests. In reviews they rate it 4.6 out of 5. It is situated in a quiet cul-de sac adjacent to the Holt Country Park and a short walk to the centre of the town. It is a 1840's brick and flint workmanís cottage and retains much of its original charm with uneven plaster, stripped wooden doors, oak floors, open fireplace and steep stairs. However, it has wifi, fully fitted kitchen, bathroom and gas central heating. Jimís cottage sleeps 4 in a double and a twin room. The excellent, safe garden makes it an ideal cottage for families, but sorry, pets and smoking are not allowed. Short Breaks available between October and April.

We hope you will stay

Reviews of JIM'S COTTAGE

We had a lovely stay in this little cottage perfect for two couples. Parking was no problem and it was just a nice walk in to Holt. The back entrance to the Holt Country Park is even closer. The property is well furnished in keeping with the cottage style and had everything we needed for our stay. The beds were really comfortable and clean. Chris was very nice to deal with when booking and helpful in every way. We will happily book this again for next year.

What a beautiful cottage in a lovely position. Ideally situated for walks into the town and to the country park and the lowes (recommended by Chris the owner by email before our stay).

The cottage has everything that you could possibly need and Chris was more than helpful when we called him with a couple of minor hiccups.

Jim's cottage is in a lovely, quiet position and handy for walks in the local area, but only 10 minutes' walk from the centre of Holt. The kitchen is well equipped and was spotlessly clean when we arrived. The beds were very comfortable, and, despite the cottage being compact, the owners had provided everything a holidaymaker would need for a comfortable stay. The garden is well maintained, providing a barbeque, garden chairs and plenty of space for children to play.

Great holiday cottage within walking distance of Holt. Description & photos of the cottage true to form. We loved the furnishings which gave the cottage a real "homely" feel despite it being a hoilday let. Particularly loved the paintings by the owner - what a great personal touch.
Kitchen was very well equipped & had everything that we needed in order to prepare meals over our week long stay.
Stairs quite steep but we thought this added to the charm of the cottage.
In fact we were so impressed that we intend to visit again in 2014.
